32. "You really love her, don't you?"

Jai's POV -

A set of twin girls, one with blue hair, the other with pink, left the apartment block, an old man with a dog and a women with a small child followed. Twenty minutes had passed and there was still no sign of the others. Suddenly James appeared with Veronica, he hugged her tightly as she cried into his shoulder, "it's okay Roni, I've got you." he whispered to her, "Jai, look after her, I'm going to fucking kill that cunt!" he said angrily and turned back towards the door, but Veronica stopped him. "James, no!" she cried out, holding onto his arm, "please don't leave me." she begged. He pulled her into his body and stroked her hair gently. Sierra and Shay began asking questions, Where's Beau? Is Luke okay? Did they find Isla? What happened? All circulated through the group and James sighed, knowing he had to give answers. "Beau and Luke are fine, they've got it covered, Isla is in there somewhere, Roni told Skip where she is and he's gone to get her, I don't know what state she's in though. And as for this, that bastard Noah was harassing my girlfriend." he seemed annoyed, which was unlike James, but after everything that was happening it didn't surprise me.

Tabby appeared at the bottom of the steps and ran crying from the building. She had her phone pressed against her ear, "I need the police, and an ambulance, quickly!" she spoke fast and her whole body was shaking. She gave the address to the person on the other end of the phone and fell to the floor in pieces. "I'm sorry Shay! I'm so sorry, I couldn't help him." she was crying uncontrollably and I could only just make out her words. "what the fuck have you done?" Shay yelled at her, leaping forwards and knocking her ex-bestfriend to the floor. Before Shay could do anything two police officers pulled her off Tabby and two others ran into the apartment block. "Shay, please don't blame me, I tried to help!" Tabby screamed as she was cuffed and lead into a police car, sirens sounded in the back ground and an ambulance pulled up beside the two police cars. Shay and Veronica were both crying hysterically, two paramedics wheeled a stretcher past and up the block steps, disappearing behind the glass. No less than two minutes later, Noah and Jasper were lead out in handcuffs and piled into the other police car. Jasper's face was cut up and bruised, Noah however has escape with only a few scratches. How many more people were in there?

Five minutes later the nightmare i had been dreading because a reality, the paramedics carried Beau's lifeless body from the apartment block, whilst Tabby, Noah and Jasper were driven away. Another police car arrived and Shay broke down, sobbing into Beau's arm as she followed the stretcher to the Ambulance. "What about Luke?!" Sierra screamed, looking at the state Beau had been brought out in, another ambulance arrived and Sierra's fears became worse. "Jai.." I heard behind me, it was Shay, I turned to her and hugged her tightly, trying to protect her for my big brother. "Go with Beau, he needs his brother." she wiped her eyes dry and hugged me once more, allowing me to take my brothers hand and climb into the Ambulance. I wanted to stay for Luke, my twin brother, my best friend, but Beau needed someone right now and Shay couldn't bring herself to stay, which I completely understood. The doors to the Ambulance closed, the engine started up and the sirens sounded as we drove to Melbourne Hospital. I pulled my phone out, I needed to phone my mum, not just for Beau, but for me, my whole life was falling apart around me.

Gina: Jai, honey I'm at work, what's wrong?

Jai: Mum, it's Beau, he's been in a fight. It's pretty serious, you need to go to the hospital.

Gina: Jai, baby, I can't hear you!

Jai: BEAU. HOSPITAL. NOW!

Gina: Oh my Gish, my baby! What's happened?!

Jai: I'll explain everything later, hurry!

Gina: I'm on my way! I love you, stay safe please Jaidon!

She hung up and, I assumed, she was on her way to the hospital to meet me there. I quickly sent James a text, asking him to let me know what had happened to Luke, seconds later he text me telling me Luke was fine and that Isla and Skip were on their way in an ambulance as well. I didn't even want to think about what had happened inside that flat, I just cared about Beau and his safety right now. The ambulance stopped suddenly and the back doers flung open, Beau's eyes flickered open and he grumbled slightly, "Beau, Beau it's Jai! Please Beau, stay with me!" I begged as his eyes closed again. I couldn't stop my eyes from pouring with tears now, I'd been strong for too long and all my emotions had built up. I followed the stretcher into the hospital doors and a nurse comforted me and as he was placed into a private room. I sat on a chair, Next to his bed and watched as wires were fed into his body, needles prodded his flesh and drips hung above him. Everything was a blur, everyone was a blur, everyone apart from Beau. "Jai!" I heard a voice behind me and two arms wrap around my body, "mum!" I cried, hugging her, trying to stay strong, trying to show her that everything was going to be okay.

"Jai, Beau's going to be okay!" she told me, "he's just been knocked unconscious, he has a broken nose and severe bruising to his face and ribs, but the ambulance was there just in time." she continued to hug me and both of us cried in relief. I let her sit in the seat, I needed to find out what had happened to the others. "Where's Luke?" I asked her, worried that my twin was in a worse condition that Beau. "He's on his way baby, he's fine." she said, "Jai, could you get me a coffee please? I don't want to leave Beau." she asked me, I didn't want to leave Beau either but she was our mum, she deserved to be by his bedside. I nodded and walked to the door, "Jai..." she whispered as I opened it, "Thank you, I couldn't be more proud of my boys, sticking together, always being there for each other. I love you." she finished, her eyes welling up. "I'd do anything for those two faggots, and Skip and James." I replied, "I love you too mum." she smiled and I walked out into the hallway. Everything was white, it smelled strongly of Antibacterial solution and there was a chill in the air. I began walking towards the coffee machine and saw Skip, sitting alone, crying on a chair.

I sat next to him, "I'm so sorry Jai, I didn't mean for this to happen!" he cried, lifting his hands away from his face. His eyes were bloodshot, his face swollen and bruised. "Skip, it's not your fault, anyone would have done the same. Beau's absolutely fine, how's Isla?" I asked, hoping that everything would be okay, praying that no one would be severely damaged. "She's good, she's really good considering. I haven't seen her yet, but I've been checked over and spoken to a nurse." He smiled, something I haven't seen Skip do in a while, "You really love her don't you?" I asked, already knowing the answer. "Yeah, I do. More than anything." he replied, " but I've caused her so much pain Jai, I don't know how to make this right." his face fell into place in his hands again, he rubbed his eyes furiously and sat back in the chair, sighing. "Skip, she loves you, at the street fair, just before- you know?" I didn't want to mention the events that had happened again, "she told me that you're the one, she knows you're the one and that she doesn't want to be without you anymore." I'd almost forgotten about the brief conversation Isla and I had had about Skip and Ariana. "Thank you Jai." he replied, "I don't know what I'd do without you guys." he hugged me and a nurse came over, "Mr.Sahyounie, you can see Miss.Rhodes now."
