mason scooped me upinto his arms and carried me into the elevator, if i werent in so much pain id be impressed. i held my arms tight onto my stomach, i knew something was wrong. i looked up at mason and realised he was crying, and he wasnt attempting to hide it. 

we entered the doctors office and mason set me down on a chair and ran up to the front desk, i didnt pay a lot of attention but i heard crying and yelling. i honestly couldnt care at he moment how mason felt, i just wanted to hear my babies heart beats. 

mason ran over to me and picked me up again. honestly i was feeling the worst period pains in my entire life. mason caried me into the doctors office where i was put straight onto an ultra sound, blood taken, vitals checked, my health was fine and now we were just waiting for the babies. the doctor walked in with a smile on his face.

"your both very very lucky you got here in time, the babies are fine, no health risks, but you on the other hand maddison.." the doctor looked very cross. "what happened when the pain started?"

mason and i looked at each other

"i pressed on her stomach and pulled her" mason confessed crying

"why?" the doctor probed

"we had a fight and it got pretty heated" i interjected. no matter how mad i was i couldnt sit hear and let him take the blow all on his own.

"hmmm, well id suggest not doing that, the stress your body was under caused the babies stress and did a number on your health, if you keep this up it can mean a premature birth or a miscarrage" the doctor warned. when he said miscarrage i felt masons pain stabbing his chest, his sobs grew and he had to walk out. 

"i suggest you go take care of him miss Andrews, it would be good for the babies and yourself." he smiled. i nodded and walked out of the office to find mason curled up against the wall. i lowered my body, struggling to level to the ground, although i eventually did. i stroked his back and allowed him to cry it out.

"i nearly killed them" mason whispered

"no you didnt im fie and so are they, you heard the doctor their okay" i said reasuringly. 

mason only nodded and i realised he wasnt the strong protective man that took me away, he was a boy. a boy who in 4 months fell in love, ran away from home and became a father of two.

"lets go home" i smoothed his hair out and we went back the the apartment.
