{Chapter Three} I ran my hand on the railing as I got down the stairs, my father turning around in his suit to smile at me. "Ready?" I nodded my head at him as he took my hand in his. "You look beautiful sweetie." He patted my hand comfortingly and I gave him a short smile.
"Thank you dad, you look handsome." I bumped our shoulders together and walked with him toward the door, my father's beta and gamma dresses in suits similar as his as they waited outside next to two cars.
"Let's go people. We can't be late, we're the guest of honors." Skill joked with a bow and I rolled my eyes at him, getting inside of the car with my father. Skill and Killer got in the car in the front and the one we were in roared as the driver started the car.
The car started to move and I looked out of the window. "You can't ignore him forever you know, he's going to be there tonight." My father said interrupting my spaced out state and I turned around to look at him.
"You must tell him why you rejected him." I shook my head at him and earned a sigh from him before his hand slipped in mine to give it a squeeze. "He'll understand."
"I can't, I just can't." I choked out and blinked my eyes away as I shakily rubbed my lips. "I don't want him to be with me because he pity's me. I can die any day and it's not fair for him, I can't do that. I won't allow myself to see how I break him slowly because of my heart disease."
"You doubt in yourself, your mother had a heart disease too and look how far we got. I have two beautiful daughters now and I couldn't be happier even though she's not here right now." My father raised his hand up, brushing my face slightly.
"Do you think she'll wake up?" I asked quietly as I looked up at him and gave him a sad look. "What if she doesn't?" I whispered painfully slow, my heart breaking at that thought. "You're mother is a fighter, she never lost a fight before, I doubt she will now." My father replied with a smile of his own that lightened up his silver green eyes. I gave him a smile of my own and enjoyed the hug he gave me, my cheek pressed against him.
The car slowly started to slow down as it stopped completely in front of a large building. The door opened as a man held his hand out and I slipped it in his as he helped me out of the car. My father got out soon after just as Killer and Skill got out of the car in front of us.
"Ready to do this?" My father whispered in my ear as we started to make our way toward the large building. The door was opened for us and we walked in, chandeliers shining madly in the ceilings and the floor mirroring back at us.
"I'm scared." I confessed to my father the closer we were coming to the door and got a squeeze back in return. I turned to look up at him with a sad look on my face and big golden eyes, glinting with tears.
"You'll be alright. I promise." The door opened just at that and we walked in, my hand squeezing my father's arm as we made our way inside. The room was filled with people dressed in breathtaking gowns and handsome suits, champagne glasses in hand as they chatted away.
"The Alpha of Dust Killer Sebastian Killers and his daughter, the soon to be alpha Winter-rose Killers." At that announcement everyone's eyes were on us, my breathing hiked up and my eyes froze when Khalid turned around and our eyes met.
I don't know how long we've been staring but when my father tugged at my hand, I started to walk with him down the stairs, removing my eyes from him even though he didn't. The moment we got down the stairs we were crowded by other packs Alphas and soon to be alphas.
My father had a lot of friends in this werewolf world and a lot of enemies too. Many Alphas rely on him because of the power he has, they tend to use him sometimes and made him be the one who gets the enemies and not them.
