Summer's POV

{Chapter Thirty Five} "What is going on?" I walked down the stairs as I heard my mother and father arguing with each other. When they saw me they stopped talking and acted as if everything was okay. "What's wrong? And don't you dare tell me everything is okay because by the way you two have been arguing I know its quite bad."

My father sighed and closed his eyes for a few moments as he looked to the side. "Your sister is in the hospital, the baby is causing her some problems." My mother was the first one to speak as she glared at my father. "They took her to the emergency room, she needs blood."

"I can give it to her, we're sisters I can help." I said as I walked down the last steps and made my way toward them.

"We just rescued you from being part of a ritual, your body is still weak for the spells they used on you." My father interfered and I looked at my mother with widened eyes and parted lips as I waited for her to say something.

She closed her eyes with a deep breath. "Your father is right, you need to rest honey." She walked toward me and grabbed my face, leaning me down to kiss my forehead. "You have the girls to keep you company. We'll call you if anything happens."

I tried to protest but seeing that none of them would agree on this I sighed in defeat. "Fine, but call me if anything happens."

"We will." My mother said as she caressed my face before pulling away from me. "Have some sleep, watch a movie with the girls. You don't need to stay awake the whole night." She gave me a short smile which I returned with one of my own as they made their way toward the door and I turned around to walk up the stairs.

"We heard what happened, your sister is going to be okay. Wanna watch a movie?" Sawyer said when I walked into my room and I was about to reply when the door bell rang. "Answer it, we'll put the movie in the meantime."

I nodded my head and turned around to head downstairs, walking toward the front door. I opened the door to see no other than Yeoman. "What are you doing here?" I looked behind me as I slowly made my way out of the house, closing the door behind me.

I pulled my sweater closer to my body, my fingers clutching at the arm sleeves. "I wanted to see how you've been holding up." I walked with him as I ran my hands up and down my arms and sat on the steps of the porch with him

"I'm fine, I slept through it. I'm processing it I guess?" I breathed out heavily with a sigh, looking away from him as I wrapped my arms together and brought them to my chest. I don't know why but I couldn't face him after giving myself to my mate.

I feel really bad about it but I wasn't feeling guilty either. "You slept with him didn't you?" He asked me forcedly, his jaw tensed, his posture uneasy and his voice sounding somewhat between pissed and angry.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me. Maybe I wanted to try and see for myself that I could love him like you. That maybe we could have a bond like normal mates do. I wanted to try, because at the thought of you being with your mate, made me think about me. What about me? If I fight for the love I feel for you what can guarantee me that you'll stay with me and not with your mate?"

He turned around as he grabbed my hands, making me unwrapped my arms. "I love you. What I feel for you is indescribable, it's a feeling that I myself don't know how to describe. I know what I feel and I couldn't care less about my mate right now, all I need is you."

I shook my head at him as I slid my hands out of his grip. "I thought the same, I thought that the love I had for you was strong enough but it's not. I may love you but the bond of true love was bigger than any other thing. I thought what we had was stronger but it's not."
