Summer's POV

{Chapter Twenty Four} I pulled my coat closer to my body as I made my way toward my car and unlocked the doors, opening my car door. "Where do you think you're going?" A hand grabbed my wrist as I went to get in the car.

I turned to look up at the person and rolled my eyes. "What is it to you Yeoman? Back from your trip already?" I yanked my wrist from his hold and got inside of my car, pulling the door. "Excuse me? Can I close my door please?"

He gave me a smile and raised his hands up in surrender mode, backing away to give me a chance to close my door. I started the engine and was ready to drive away when the passenger door was open.

I turned to look at Yeoman who slouched in unbothered, slamming the door close. "Ohm? What do you think you're doing?" I asked him with raised shoulders and confused look on my face as I shook my head at him.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going wherever you're going." He said with that stupid smile of his and rested unfazed in the car seat, arm behind his head and legs parted. I looked at him with parted lips and curled up hands around the steer wheel. "Close your mouth, it's not ladylike."

I pinned my lips together and turned around with a huff, driving away from in front of my house. He leaned forward and turned on the radio, changing the stations. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye as I drove on the road.

"Baby, I loved you dangerously, more than the air that  breathe. Knew we would crash at the speed that we were going. Didn't care if the explosion ruined me." The voice of Charlie Puth popped out and Yeoman left the radio there and leaned back in his seat, looking out of the window.

"How's life going? I heard about your mate." I gripped the steer wheel tightly at that and ignored him, driving as fast as I could to reach to my destination so I can lose him and have some fun. He won't ruin my night.

"So you're mute now? What happened to you? To think that your sister was the bitter one....." He jolted to the front at my abruptly stop and I turned to look at him angrily. He had to mention my sister didn't he? Everything ends up with my sister, everything!

"Get out." He frowned as he looked at me confused. "Get the fuck out!" I screamed at him again and pointed at the door. He sighed and shook his head at me. "I said get out! What part of get out don't you understand?"

"Why? What did I do wrong? What happened to you? This Summer is starting to get on my dislike list and I now saw you after being away for months. I don't understand why you're all bitter all of sudden. Does it have to do with your mate?"

"Get out! It's none of your business Yeoman, none!" He shook his head at me and yanked me forward when I pointed at the door once more. "Let go of me now! Don't forget that you're just a guard, nothing more and nothing less, just a simple and meaningless guard!"

He stared at me deeply in the eyes for a short period of time, my chest heaved up and down as I breathed from my nose. My eyes stared back into his too, but I ended up shifting it around at his intense gaze. We stayed there somewhat glaring at each other, the heat around us was suffocating me.

The tension was so thick and strong, I didn't know what happened to me but I found myself kissing him, my hands in his hair with my fingers buried in his scalps as I moved my mouth hungrily against his. Yeoman let out an inner growl as he moved his hands down my back, his hands on my thighs shifting my body so I was on his lap.
