Summer's POV

{Chapter Twenty Six} I looked around me before opening the concrete door on the ground and got down the stairs, closing it above me. I gripped at the steps as I got down the stairs and turned around, a hallway coming into the view with a lot of cells.

I ran my hands up and down my arms as the cold wind brushed against my skin, making me shiver. I slowly but surely walked through the hall, my eyes shifting side to side on the cells. My heart beat madly against my rib cage, not knowing what to expect.

I sighed in mostly relief at the sight of empty cells, my dad wasn't that cruel. I stopped at a special cell, it was different from all these other cells in here. Where others were made of silver, this one was made of glass.

The lights in the cell were dim, not too bright, nor dark. I could still make out the figure in the cell and everything it was doing. Yeoman had shackles around his wrists that connected to chains that were securely against the wall.

The corners of my lips dropped as I stared at him sadly, this was my fault. If only I'd know. "This shouldn't have ended like this." I said as I took a step forward and placed my hand on the glass, Yeoman's head shooting up to stare at me.

My body subconsciously took a step back when my eyes met his, they were still pretty much blood red and black veins underneath his eyes, running down his neck and arms. I gulped down and stared at him in the eyes, there wasn't any glint of goodness in his eyes, nor innocence.

It was as if he was replaced with a different person.

He stalked toward me and stumbled back with a shook of the chains as he reached his limit. He stared at his shackles and snarled loudly, yanking his wrists around but with no luck. "Stop! Please stop! You're only hurting yourself."

He tugged harder and put more force as he swung the chains around but they wouldn't bulge. He turned to look at me and growled loudly, his canines threatening me. He shifted his eyes to the shackles and glanced up at me with a growl.

I touched the glass wall as I stepped forward and looked at him sadly. "I'm sorry, this is all my fault." My eyes filled with tears as I spoke, I couldn't look at him like this. He was in here because of me, if only I'd knew.

He shocked me by letting out a whimper growl, his eyes staring back at me with a flash of hurt through all the darkness in his eyes. I blinked my eyes with a sniff, the tears falling from my lashes down my cheek.

"It's not your fault." I shot up to look at him in shock, normally when they were more primal than human, the beast don't actually talks, only snarls and growl. "Don't cry." He said softly and it shocked me even more, the beast was capable of feeling after all.

I wiped my tears away quickly and sniffed, blinking as I looked at him still in shock. "You shouldn't be here Summer." He surprised me by saying and I shook my head at him. "Yes, I'm more primal than human. Heck, I barely have control. Seeing your face will only make me lose it but seeing you cry just gets to me."

He saw my confuse look and explained further. "I see you now and all I can think of is the taste of your blood in my mouth." I stared at him not knowing what to say or how to react. "You should be far away as possible from me right now."

"I want to see something, and then I'll be far away from you as possible." I put my palm on the glass and closed my eyes as I concentrate. What? Thought that my sister was the only one with powers? Yeoman glanced up at me in shock as I made my way toward him, standing right in front of him.
