The First Date

Grayson's POV

Since I asked Madi out, I guess that it is about time to ask her on a date. This will be our first date and I'm quite nervous because I have no clue what to expect. Also, I don't have anywhere planned for us to go yet. I don't even know what she likes: is she more of the adventurous type that you can take on an adventurous hike? Or is she more of the type that would prefer to go on a date to a fancy restaurant? I have no idea! Is it rude to just ask her? Or should I just ask Addi? Please help!!

Addison's POV

I knew this moment was coming: Grayson would want to take Madi on their first date. Obviously, Grayson would need some more advice. I saw all of this coming from the beginning. Perfect. Well, I'm not complaining, I love to help Grayson; it's just, what if I screw it up this time and tell him the wrong advice? Then they will break up. Then it will be all my fault for causing them to break up. What am I going to do?! "Quit worrying. That's a start." Madi laughs as she enters my room. "Wait! What? You can read my thoughts?" I ask in fear that I may have just been saying all of that stuff out loud. "No, silly" she began as she stopped to laugh, "You were saying all of that stuff out loud." "Wait! So you know about me telling Grayson advice about your guys' relationship?" "Ya. So." she said like it was no big deal. I was almost one hundred percent sure that she would be flipping out by now. "And you are ok with it?" I asked her in shock. "Ya why wouldn't I be? And plus, I think that it is cute that he is coming to you for advice." "You do?!" I couldn't believe all of the words that were coming out of her mouth. "Of course!" she said all cheerful-like. What has gotten into her lately?

Grayson's POV

Addison's advice really helped: I have got myself a date with Madison Smith for tonight at 7:30. Now all I have to do is figure out a place to take her.

Madison's POV

I only had an hour until Grayson was coming to pick me up for our date. That means it's time for me to get ready and of course, Addi will be helping me. Because let's be real here, where would I be without her? That's right nowhere. Well I mean, I would probably be somewhere, but I just can't imagine where I would be without her. When I was done getting ready for my date, I went to the living room, where Addi was sitting to ask her if I looked ok. She said,"Yes, of course, you look beautiful as always. Quit worrying." I just laughed. The relationship that we have is weird sometimes.

Grayson's POV

Pulling up to Madi's driveway was nerve racking. My heart was beating one hundred miles per hour and I had butterflies as I walked up to her front door. I knocked three times and waited for someone to answer it. In what felt like no time at all the door opened and I saw it: she looked so beautiful standing there. She walked out to me and smiled, "Where are we going?" she asked. "It's a surprise!" I said cheerfully. She just smiled as we got into my car. This couldn't be a better day. I am taking her to the Olive Garden to have dinner then we will go see a movie. I don't know what movie that we will go see yet, but I will let her pick since I chose where we are going to eat because as I said, it was going to be a surprise. When we got to the Olive Garden, there was not a lot of people there, so we got seated right away. We talked about a lot of stuff, but mainly about her because I wanted to get to know her better. You know, other than the stuff that I had Addison find out for me. She told me that she made the volleyball team and I told her that Ethan and I made the lacrosse team and the football team. Then, she told me that Addison made the cheer leading squad. We had a great time then we went to watch The Giver. After that, I dropped her off at her house after I said goodbye. I think that the first date went well.

Madison's POV

I had a great first date and I was going to tell Addi all about it. It was a date that I wanted to remember forever.
