Madison's Point of View
When I woke up, I was in the hospital. I saw all of my friends and family surrounding me, including the whole volleyball team. "What happened?" I asked confused about why in the world I was in the hospital. Ethan turned his head and said, "Yay! She's awake!" While clapping. Then, I could practically feel the whole room turn and all eyes focused on me. I was confused, very confused. "Where am I?" I asked because no one had answered my question. Grayson seemed to be the only one who had heard my question. He came over to me, sat on the corner of my bed, and took my hand. Then he said, "Babe, when you were at your volleyball game last night, some girl on the other team spiked the ball and it hit your head." His voice sounded like he was about to cry. He cleared his throat and then went on, "it knocked you out cold. The doctors didn't even think that you would wake up." This time, a single tear was running down his cheek. I felt the sadness that he felt running through me. I didn't know what to do.
Just then, Ethan came over. He saw the tear on Gray's face and said, "Don't worry, everything will be ok now." Grayson quickly wiped the tear from his face. "What do you mean that everything will be ok now!?" I screamed. "Are you saying that everything wouldn't have been alright before!?" I have no idea why, but I was furious. "No it's not that it's just-" Ethan stopped talking. "What? What is it?" Grayson and I asked at the same time. "Oh. Never mind. Let's just tell the doctor that you are awake." Then, my mom walked over to me. "Hey, Madi." She said in a calming voice. "I'm glad to see that you are finially awake." "Finially? How long was I out for?" "Oh, not too long. Just since the game last night. It just felt like an eternity for me and your sister." She started, "but mainly your sister. She was crying all night last night because the doctors thought that you probably wouldn't wake up." Just then, my mom was interrupted by a very familiar voice, "but you showed them, your my fighter." She said while crying, but she had a smile on her face. It was almost like tears of joy mixed with tears of sadness.
That voice was Addi's.
Just then, the doctor came in. "Hello, Ms. Smith." He said as he entered the room. "Hi." I said, but I didn't know his name. "I will be happy to announce that if you are still healthy in the morning, you will be released from the hospital." He said with a smile. "That's great!" My mom said practically screaming. I just chuckled under my breath.
Addison's Point of View
I can't lie. Over the past 24 hours, I have been worried sick about Madi. I mean, what would I do if I ever lost her? She is my best friend. Oh well. At least it is over now. I really do hope that she wakes up healthy enough to go home tomorrow because I have loads of things that I need to tell her. We tell each other everything and I can't tell her them here because we need to have our 'twin talks' that our mom is always dying to be a part of. We don't let her of course because she is not our twin.
At least Ethan didn't brake his promise to me that he made at the game last night, that she would be ok. To be honest, I kind of didn't think that he didn't know what he was talking about. I guess that I really should have more faith in him.
*The next morning*
Just when I thought that everything would be ok in the morning... Oh boy, was I wrong...
