Last Day

Madison's Point of View

Since today is our last day in Hawaii, I am going to the beach. Have I mentioned how much I love the beach? I love the beach enough that I am getting up really early to go. I told the squad last night and I told them that I would go alone because they definitely wouldn't be willing to get up that early. Especially Gray and Addi. I mean, Ethan might, but I would highly doubt it. I got up and put my hair in a messy bun on the top of my head and put a swim suit on and a cover up over it. I grabbed my sunglasses and put them on the top of my head and headed downstairs. To be honest, I really don't care what I look like because I doubt that anyone would be at the beach this early.

When I got down there I was surprised at what I saw: Ethan. What's he doing up this early? "Eth, what are you doing up this early?" "I am going to the beach with you, silly." "You didn't have to do that. Like I said before, I am completely fine with going by myself." "Well, I thought that someone should and we both know that Gray and Addi won't even think about getting up this early." He said and we both laughed. "Well, you didn't have to, but thanks. It will be nice having someone to talk to at the beach."

When we were walking to the beach, Ethan asked me something, "Hey Mads," "Yeah?" "Can I ask you something and you promise not to flip out on me?" "Depends. Are you going to say that you never loved Addison and you want to date me? Because in that case, I would slap you in your face." "No! Why would I ever say that!?" "I have no clue. Anyways, in that case, proceed." "Remember when you were in the hospital a few months ago?" I nodded my head yes indicating him to go on with his question. "Well, Addi told me that you two like switched bodies for a day. What was that like?" 

I had to close my eyes to try and remember exactly what it was like. "Well," I began to explain to him what it was like. I didn't want him to worry. He is my best friend and even though that occurred a few months ago, I know that he still would. "It was like I could see through Addi's eyes and see what she saw and hear what she heard. I could even feel the feelings that she felt. Have you and Gray ever experienced anything like that?" He shook his head no and said, "No, not what I can remember anyways. Were you confused about what was going on." "No, oddly enough, somehow I knew exactly what was going on." "Hmm ..." Is all he said and we arrived at the beach.

We played in the water for what felt like hours until the sun came up. "Hey, Mads?" "Yeah?" "Do you think that we should head back and see if Gray and Addi want to come back to the beach with us?" Ethan asked me. "Yeah sure." I said smiling. I am so happy, yet sad that today is the last day at the beach. Tomorrow morning, we will have to check out of our beach house and head to the airport so we can fly home. "Why the long face?" Ethan asked me interrupting my thoughts. "Oh, nothing. I just don't want to leave to go home tomorrow." I explained to him. "Yeah, me too, but don't you miss your mom?" "Yeah, I guess you are right." I said to him realizing that I really did miss my mom and that I guess it is a good thing that we have to go home tomorrow. 

"Hey Graybae!" I yelled across to the kitchen seeing that he was once again up, making breakfast. "Whatcha making today?" "Oh just a little biscuts and gravy." "Yum!" "Hey, where's Addi?" Ethan said interrupting my and Grayson's flirting session. "She is up in her room, I think that she is still sleeping." Grayson said. "Go figure." Ethan and I both said at the same time and laughed remembering what we said this morning.

Then, you know who came down the stairs half asleep. How did I know that she was half asleep? Because she fell down the stairs! We all laughed. "Owww! That is not funny, guys!" She whined rubbing her head. "Are you alright?" I walking over to her still laughing. "Yeah, I guess." She said then I held out my hand to help her up. 

This was the best last day to the best vacation that a girl could ever ask for.
