Missing

Addison's POV

When Madi got home from the date, I was really excited to ask her how it went. Although, I didn't want to seem all eager to bud  in her personal life, so I just decided to wait around until she was ready to tell me herself. I mean, she will tell me right? I am her best friend. Anyway, being the very inpatient person I am, I had a very hard time trying to wait for her to tell me. Time went by, what felt like hours. I wasn't sure that I could wait that long for her to tell me. What if she waits days to tell me? Or weeks? Or months even? I can't wait, I just can't. I have to ask her, so I just decided to suck it up and go and ask her myself. It seems like if anything good needs to be done around here, I have to do it myself. I went into Madi's room and she wasn't there, so I decided to go look for her downstairs. "Hey Mom?" I called to my mom who was in the kitchen baking cookies. They happened to be my favorite, chocolate chip. "Yes, dear?" "Umm.. I was wondering if you have seen Madi lately. I saw her when she came home, but when I went into her room to ask her something, she wasn't there." I explained to her and I was kind of getting worried. "No, I'm sorry honey, I haven't. Why don't you call Ethan or Grayson to see if she went back over to their house." and that's exactly what I did. Well, not exactly. I just kind of went over to their house and knocked on their door to ask them. They did live right next door to us, so I would rather just walk over to their house anyway. When I reached their house, I knocked on the door three times then I stood their for a moment waiting for someone to come and open the door. When the door opened, I was greeted by a handsome brown-eyed boy. "Hey." I said. "Hey what's up?" "Oh nothing. I just came here because I needed to ask you something." "Sure, anything. What do you need?" "I was just wondering if you have seen Madi recently." "Oh sorry, no I haven't." "Oh, ok. That's fine. Thanks anyway." I said to him kind of depressingly as I waved goodbye and walked out of the door. I walked back home slowly, now I am really worried, but hopefully Mom will know what to do. Moms always do, right? I reached my house and went inside. "Mom?" I called out to her. "Yes?" "They haven't seen her." "Have you tried to call her?" "Ya, but he phone is still here." "Oh it is? That's not like her to go somewhere and leave her phone here. It's also not like her to leave without telling someone where she is going first. Are you sure that this is not a prank? I know how you kids these days are into pranking people." she explained to me and I had to think about it for a second. "Ya, you're right. I bet that this is a prank. She will come back soon." I told my mom as I went back up to my room. Now, I am going to play a prank on her. Well, it's not really a prank, I'm just going to hack her phone and all of her social media. (*Evil smile*) I changed her backgrounds to weird pictures of me and I posted a picture of me and some weird captions about it. I wonder if her followers will be able to tell that the picture is a picture of me. Probably not, but oh well. Who cares? After I was done hacking her accounts, I put her phone back on her bed practically exactly where I found it and went back into my room. I made it back just in time. As I plopped onto my bed, a familiar figure appeared in my door frame. "Why didn't you come looking for me?" Madi asked me. "I did." "Well what did you do when you couldn't find me?" "I told Mom that you were missing." "And..." "And she said that it was probably a prank and you would come back later." "What would you have done if it was not a prank and I was seriously in trouble?" "Oh, I'm sure that Mom would have called the police if you weren't back by morning." "What if morning would have been too late?" "Enough with the what ifs already. They didn't happen, so we don't have to worry about it, alright?" "Alright, but did I scare you? Just a little?" "Just a little." I said with a smile and she smiled back at me and left the room. I'm glad that it was just a prank and everything was ok. I don't know what I would have done without her.

             I hope that this chapter had you on the edge of your seat! It was so much fun to write! Sorry nothing really big happened in this chapter, though. I had nothing really to write about, so I just started typing and this is what happened. Stay awesome!
