Madison's Point of View

My whole life I have been fearing the day of the zombie apocalypse, and now it is here. I am like freaking out here, I have no idea what to do. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I am home alone right now because my mom had to take Addi to cheer practice and this one was one of those practices that the parents can come in and observe if they want to; and of course our mom is exactly the kind of mom who is all over doing things like that. I didn't really want to go because today was one of those early-morning practices that start at like 8:30 in the morning; and me being the typical teenage girl that I am wanted my sleep. As you might have guessed, now I am totally regretting the whole decision.

I am running around the house very frantically right now looking for Addison's 'Zombie Apocalypse Survival Kit'. Of course, I am the type of kid who is dumb enough not to have one, but I know that Addi has one. I know this because every time we bring up 'zombie apocalypse', she always says that I will be the one who gets eaten first because I don't have a survival kit. Geez, Madi, think like Addi. Which you are probably thinking, you guys are twins, shouldn't you guys practically have the same brain? Well, yes, usually that is the case, but apparently this time, it's not. Oh my gosh! I can't believe that I haven't thought about this before, under her bed! I know what you are thinking, everyone always puts everything under their bed, but under her bed is always so clean that no one would ever think to look under there. That's why she always puts her valuable items under their and I am pretty sure that I am the only person that she has ever told that to. That's what makes me feel special.

Once I grabbed Addi's survival kit, I ran upstairs to the attic and closed the door super tight that the zombies would never be able to open it. Now, I am bored. I don't even know where my mom and Addison are right now. Who knows I mean, they could be zombies right now because the zombies have ate their brains. There are like a thousand sirens and flashing lights going off in our house right now. I have no idea why, but when we first moved into this house, our mom insisted that we had all sorts of sirens and alarms for the zombie apocalypse. I have to be honest, I kind of thought that the zombie apocalypse would never happen. You know, like it was just some sort of elaborate joke that practically the whole world was a part of, but now I know that it is real.

I haven't heard any scratching at the door in a while, so I decide to look outside and I saw a human. Perhaps the only human left on planet Earth. I went outside to try and get her attention. Luckily, she saw me right away and when I saw her face, I knew that she looked familiar. Although, I didn't really have a clue who she was or where I have ever seen her at, but I did know that I have seen her before. Then, I went up to her (dodging all of the zombies, of course) and asked her what her name was. When she introduced herself, she said that her name was Christina. Then, it hit me, Christina Eller from that TV show, Face It, that my mom watches all of the time. Then I said, "Hi, Christina, my name is Madison." "Are you sure? Because I am pretty sure that I just saw you and your mom earlier and your mom was freaking out a little." "You did?! Where?!" "Umm, you should know, considering that you were there." "Oh. Sorry, that was my twin sister and my mom, but can you show me where they are?" "Of course I can! There are just around the corner at the school." she said as we started walking toward school.

Just then, I was awoken by a bright light. "Honey, time for school." my mom said waking me up for school this morning. Well, I am very relieved that it was just a dream because it looked pretty realistic for a dream.
