~Mary's POV~

I ran around chasing my brother, Mason, when I finally tackled him onto the couch and yanked the TV remote out of his hand. Mason screamed for Uncle Chris.

Chris came down the stairs with a bottle of bleach in his hand and a rag in the other. He must have been cleaning the bathroom or Jamie's room. His room is a mess. Lucy came from the kitchen with a confused look on her face.

"Mary took the TV remote, Uncle Chris! It's my day to watch TV!" Mason cried as he ran to Chris hugging his legs.

"Little man, it's Mary's turn, you know that." Chris said going down to Mason's height. I stuck my tongue out at him and turned the television on.

I live with my Uncle Chris, Mason and My cousin Jamie. Lucy is moving out soon and I'm going to get her room. I shared with her for four years and now I finally get my own room! I live with them in Atlanta after Mom died giving birth to Mason six years ago. Our Dad moved out after he couldn't handle taking care of two children. I was four when she died and when Dad left. But then we moved in with Uncle Chris and Mason loves it here. It's sad that Mason didn't know his parents but now that he's six, he understands why his parents aren't here.

Lucy is 21 and is moving in with her boyfriend, Graham. She has green/brown eyes and brown ombre hair. She also has a nose piercing and a tattoo of a rose on her thigh. She's been a role model to me for all the time I've been here. She's like a sister that I've never had. Me and her love to play Mario Kart, and of course I win. One time when we were playing, she was playing with me and I won and she wouldn't talk to me for a week. She would help me with anything from homework to boy troubles.

Jamie is 14 and mostly stays in his room all day or goes to school. He has light brown hair that flops over his hazel eyes. He's obsessed with Super heroes and comic books, just like I am. He'll steal my Batman comics and go straight back to his room. We argue a lot, but I know he can't live without me. (Mostly because I have all the comics he wants).

Mason, is 6. He's way too smart for his age, everyone says that's a bad thing and he should enjoy his age, however I think differently. He has light brown hair like Dad and blue/green eyes like Mom. I got my eyes from Dad. Mason loves soccer and athletics and all around sport. One day he came up to me and said "I'm the fastest in my class, Mary!" and right there and then I knew he is going to be a sportsman.

Uncle Chris is 49 but got divorced at 33. They got divorced when Lucy was 5 and Jamie was 2. It was horrible for Chris because he loved her so much, then she took his heart and smashed it into the ground. She cheated on him with his best friend and now they live together. Chris has hazel eyes that matches his hair. He took us in after Mom died.

"Good evening, we interrupt this program to bring you a important news update. We are receiving reports of random mass murders and violence across the US. Details are a bit sketchy right now and there are no statements from the police as is what is happening. We will continue to bring you important updates of the story as it progresses." The news quickly came on as I turned on the TV and all of us watched diligently as the news man addressed the news. Chris snatched the remote out of my hand and turned over the channel to a different one. Jamie came downstairs now with a scared but confused look on his face.

"Have you seen this crap? It's bull-" Jamie was interrupted by Lucy and she said not to swear in this house. I was quite surprised because her and Chris swear all the time.

~The Next day~

It was time for school, I didn't mind school but it was a bit boring. At least I had my best friend, Alex with me. He was a year older than me, which was 12, and we've been friends for years since I moved to Atlanta.
