I woke up around midnight to screaming. Sasha was shouting at Father Gabriel while everyone was crowded around, except for me and Carl. Carl was laying next to me and Judith so I shook him to get him up. It took me three attempts because of how much of a deep sleeper he is.
"Where are our people!?" Sasha shouted violently while holding a gun towards Father Gabriel. Tyreese tried to restrain her but she resisted. I noticed that Bob, Daryl and Carol weren't here so she was probably talking about them. Carl took Judith away because she was crying, I walked over to him and asked him what was going on. He shrugged and carried on rocking the poor child.
"Why'd you bring us here?" Rick asked, bringing Sasha behind him.
"Please... I-I don-" Gabriel stuttered out until Rick interrupted him. Honestly, I felt like Gabriel was hiding something but it's got nothing to do with the missing people. He's too innocent to kill anyone or kidnap them at least.
"You working with someone?" Rick said. Everyone was a little on edge and I stood by Carl just for protection. He's strong I'll give him that.
"I'm alone! I'm alone! I was always alone!"
"What about the woman at the food bank? What did you do to her? 'You'll burn for this' That was for you. Why? What are you gonna burn for Gabriel?" Rick lunged at him and question him again. "What did you do!? What did you do?!"
Gabriel somehow managed to get loose of Rick despite not ever fighting anyone before (that we know of). He started breaking out into tears and looked at everyone in the eye. "I lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. They started coming, my congregation. Atlanta was bombed the night before and they were scared, they were looking for a safe place, a place were they felt safe. And it was so early. And the doors were still locked. You see it was my choice. But there was so many of them they were prying the shutters and banging on the windows, screaming at me. A-and so the dead came for them. W-woman. Children." He looked directly at me and Carl at that moment. I gave him a death glare before he started speaking again. "Entire families calling my name as they were torn a-apart. Begging me for mercy. Damning me to hell. " Again he broke down into tears and wondered why he was so bothered by it. I've seen people die. People I love. But he's crying for his faith? I lost my faith when this world began. "I buried their bones. I buried it all. The lord sent you here to punish me. I-I'm damned. I was damned before. I always lock the doors! I-I always lock the doors!" He fell to the ground with his knees up to his chest crying.
Sasha put her gun away after that but not removing the look of disgust. Judith had stopped crying before a heard a whistling noise come from outside. "Do you guys hear that?" I asked the group and they all turned towards the door. Glenn, being the least afraid, looked out the misty window and shouted that they're was someone laying on the grass out front. Rick called for Sasha but he had no use when she ran out the door shouting for Bob.
Carl put Judith down for a sleep quickly and ran outside, pulling my hand with him. I got goosebumps and butterflies. What is happening to me?
We came across Bob, but his leg was missing. They all tried to lift him up and take him inside, but me and Rick were left behind to take care of the 'walkers'. I shot a few, but soon realized that I had ran out of bullets. I had no knife, no other weapons. A walker came close to me and I pushed it away, while I looked around for another weapon. The Roamer pushed me onto the ground as I waited for the pain of the bite. I looked away but soon realized that Rick shot it. He gave me a quick nod and I politely smiled at him.
Rick and I got inside and locked the door. Bob was unconscious still so that could mean we could re-bandage his wound.
After I had got my bandages, I slipped of his old bloody one and redid it. If only we had some disinfectant that would be better.
