The party was in full swing. Haha that's a funny joke, because it was boring as shit.

I was wearing nice clothes for once that Katy let me borrow off her. A pair of jeans and a nice blouse with birds on it. I would usually go with something plain and simple but I liked this top.

I still haven't seen Carl. He said he wanted to talk to me, well Katy said he wanted to talk to me, yet he's not here?

"Mary?!" Mason cried as he ran towards me, wanting my attention.

"Sup little man?"

"I can't find Harvey anywhere! I had him earlier then I went up to grab some food and now he's gone!"

"Oh Mason, we'll find him. He probably just got moved, don't worry."

Mason checked the kitchen, while I checked upstairs. I ran up the stairs, looking in every corner. Nothing. I checked the bathroom but nothing was there.

I looked in one of the bedrooms that had posters on the door. I walked in on an awkward situation... A couple making out, maybe doing more...

One was in her bra and the male was shirtless. They faced the door, terrified faces. Wait, Alex and Katy?!

I stumbled back in embarrassment, closing the door quickly. I laughed to myself. I had just walked in on my best friends doing frickle frackle...

I ran back down stairs. Mason was in the corner with Harvey and Sam.

"Found him then?" I asked rhetorically. He nodded back and thanked me. "I didn't find him...?"

"I know you didn't, Carl did. He's outside." Mason beamed.

I wondered outside and didn't find him. This boy is the next best magician.

I sighed and climbed the roof of a shed. I looked up at the stars in awe. My Mom used to say when people die they turn into stars and the brightest are people you miss. She's up there now. Peaceful.

I laid back onto the roof, still staring at the stars. It was quite cold outside, but I prefer to be on my own. I liked being on my own.

After 10 minutes of deep thinking and staring, Carl came and laid with me.

"Beautiful, right?" Carl spoke, laying on his back like me. I could feel the warmness of his body and I just wanted to cuddle and hug him. For him to wrap his strong arms around me and call me his. Kisses me ever so gently but passionate at the same time.

"Yeah. It's pretty." I agreed. He was right it was stunning. "What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Just this girl." Crunch. My heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Oh. Who?" I asked noisily, sitting up with my legs hanging over the roof. Carl did the same.

"Just this stunning girl I know. She's so sweet and kind. Adorable too. Insanely funny and can brighten up a room with her smile. She's the reason I believe in love again. I could stare at her all day and not get bored. I love her." Smash. Smash. Smash.

"Oh well that's great Carl. She's a lucky girl." I said holding back my tears.

"I'm the one that's lucky."

"When are you gonna ask her then?"

"Now." He looked at me for a second before smashing his lips onto mine.

I felt my heart beating and I could feel Carl's too. A thousand butterflies filled my stomach as we carried on kissing. Carl's hand was on the side of my head and mine was ruffled up into his long hair. Everything was perfect.

We broke apart with smiles on our faces. I had never felt this feeling before, love. I had never experienced it with Ollie, I didn't feel anything like that with him. But with Carl it's different.

"Mary, you make me so happy everyday. You're the best thing that has happened to me and I love you. Every single day I wake up and think of you. You're beautiful smile lights up a room. And it killed me to see you in pain. I'll protect you and I would do anything to keep you safe. So will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" Carl stuttered nervously. My heart was still beating fast and my breathing quickened but at the same time I couldn't breath.

"Yes." I smiled, kissing him again. This kiss was short and sweet but full of passion.

"I wish I could stay here forever, but it's late and Dad will freak out. I'll walk you home."

We walked hand in hand, laughing and chatting about God knows what. The walk felt like a second which was weird because I live about 10 minutes away from Katy's house. Huh, I guess time does fly when you're having fun.

We arrived at my house. Carl looked kind of sad as did I.

"Well this is my home." I laughed.

"Yeah. It is." Carl frowned.

I laughed because he had his bottom lip sticking out. He was adorable.

"You're so cute." I chuckled.

He leaned in to kiss me, but I did the cheeky thing and kiss him on the cheek instead.

I laughed and he kissed me again. He parted and he leaned his forehead on mine, inches apart from my lips.

"Goodnight Chapman."

"Goodnight Grimes."

After he left, I unlocked my door and sat on the ground, leaning against the door.

I sighed with happiness and decided to check on my brother. Carl had told me Jessie had taken him home along with Sam because they were so tired.

I opened his bedroom door silently peering around the corner. He was tucked up in bed with Harvey, snuggled up against his blue covers.

I closed the door with out making a sound and walked over to Alex's room. He wasn't home yet. I guess he must be spending the night at Katy's. Doing stuff...

I strolled towards my room. I took off my clothes and shoes and put on some warm pj's.

I jumped into bed and closed my eyes ready for sleep.

What a day.
