"I think we got everything." Jackson said while we walked out of the third store. I was holding two bags and Jackson was holding over five.
"How do you have so many maids and still choose to go get groceries for parties yourself?" I asked and groaned, walking out of the wall where we were walking.
So many people were looking at us but I didn't care. I wasn't sure if they knew Jackson and were happy to see him or they knew Jackson and wonder who I am and why he's with me but either way, it wouldn't bother me because I knew it isn't bothering him.
"Because I want to buy my own things for my own parties. They are dumb and end up forgetting things so I chose to prepare them parties on my own." He said.
His side of face while he was walking was facing me, it showed how beautiful he really is. I watched his lips moving with the words falling out of them and I found myself smiling for no reason.
"Do you need anything?" He asked finally looking at me, meeting my eyes.
I shook my head, not trusting my voice. He nodded confused of why I was so silent but chose to ignore it.
We finally arrived in the car and put the bags in the back seat. "We just have to go buy the beer now." He said, more to himself than to me, when we got in the car.
He turned the car to life and placed a hand on my hand and grab it up, placing a kiss on it then placed it back down on my leg and start driving.
I turned my head to the window again, watching the city with its buildings passing by. So many thoughts attacked my brain and I didn't know which one is more important to have on the surface. So many things were happening at the same time and I didn't know if I should take what makes me happy to make me happy or what cause my sadness to make me sad.
"Are you okay?" His voice rang in the car, getting me out of my thoughts and caused me to turn my head to look at his side of face.
I cleared my throat and nodded, saying "yeah."
"Are you sure? You didn't say a word since we left the mall." He took a quick glare at me then placed his eyes back on the road.
"I'm fine. Just thinking." I softly said.
"About?" He asked, not looking at me.
"Nothing specific." I answered and the silence fell on us again.
He parked in front of a small store and looked at me. "Do you want to come with me or you will stay in the car?" He asked me for the hundredth time today.
"I'll stay in the car." I chose, giving him a small smile.
"Alright." He murmured and left the car. I watched him push the store door open and disappear inside.
I don't know why I was so quite. So sad. I didn't have any reason to be sad. I sighed and closed my eyes. I should be happy I'm living a new experience, seeing the city I never saw before. The city of the rich people.
I looked out the window again, watching people walking and cars driving by. Stores of everything all around me. Then my eyes laid on a guy slapping an old women.
I gasped and widen my eyes. She fell on the floor and looked up at him, screaming something. I looked at her face and my heart skip a beat. Mom?
I opened the car door and hurried to help. Do anything at all just stop this man from hitting my mom.
