"I'm so sorry for leaving you like that" Cas says. "Oh it's fine" Dean says "I'm glad you beat the shit out of them." "Haha yeah" Cas said "that wasn't very hard." "I'm just mad at myself for not fighting back" Dean says kicking a rock into a snowbank. "You shouldn't" Cas says "it's not like you expected to get punched in the face." "Yeah but still" Dean says. "What could you do" Cas says "they immediately ran off and then the other kid also ran off." "Fine" Dean says. "God what will Bobby say about this?" Cas says, running a hand through his hair. "I dunno" Dean says. "you don't sound so worried" Cas says. "That's because i'm not too worried" Dean says. "God if my parents knew I got into a fight" Cas says. He goes quiet when he mentions his parents and Dean can't help but feel sorry for him. They walk in silence and suddenly Cas sneezes. It's high pitched and small. Cas looks at Dean shyly, a hint of a blush coloring his cheeks. "That was adorable" Dean laughs. "Shut up" Cas says, nudging Dean. "Oh come on" Dean says, wrapping his arms around Cas. "Yeah Yeah" Cas says, resting his head on Dean's. They get to the house and Dean let's go of Cas before they walk in. Bobby isn't home yet and Sam is hanging out with his friends so they're home alone. Dean walks to the kitchen and Cas follows. Dean opens the fridge and grabs a Capri sun, putting the straw in and sticking it between his teeth. Cas laughs and Dean smiles before going up the stairs two at a time to his room, Cas right on his heels. They go into Dean's room and sit down on the floor. Dean takes out his homework and starts working on it. Cas however, takes out a small first aid kit from the front pocket of his backpack. "Why do you have that?" Dean asks as Cas rummages through it. "Just in case" Cas says, pulling out a small tube, a bandaid, and a small piece of gauze. Cas gets this cute little look of concentration on his face as he gets right up next to Dean and starts cleaning a small cut that had started bleeding. "We never do anything this fancy for cuts and scrapes" Dean says. "Yeah well this works better" Cas says as he squeezes a bit of stuff from the tube. "What's that?" Dean asks. "Just some neosporin" Cas says as he spreads it over the cut. Cas is just putting the bandaid on Dean's face when they hear the door open and close. "That would be Bobby" Dean says "we should probably go tell him what happened." "Yeah" Cas says as he closes the kit and puts it away. They get up and go downstairs. Bobby is looking through mail at the kitchen table and looks up when they enter the room. "What happened to you two?" Bobby asks, running a hand over his face "the school called me and said you got in a fight." "These kids just attacked Dean" Cas says defensively. "Did you get them back" Bobby asks. "No" Dean says softly. "But Cas beat the shit out of them" Dean says quickly, a little louder. "Do I have to go give those assholes a lesson" Bobby says "or did you two handle it." "I think we got it" Cas says, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "Where'd you get the bandaid?" Bobby asks. The school is notoriously cheap so bandaids are reserved for serious cuts. "Oh um Cas has a first aid kit" Dean says. "Ah" Bobby says. He goes back to looking at the mail and they go back upstairs. "Well that was easy" Cas says. "Yeah" Dean says. "My mom would've been yelling at me for a week if I got in a fight" Cas says. Dean looks at him out of the corner of his eye but Cas either doesn't realize what he said or he's getting more comfortable talking about his family. They try to work on homework for a while but eventually just end up talking. They go downstairs and have dinner after a while then go back up to Dean's room. They start talking again and somehow end up laying down with their heads right next to each other. Cas goes off on a tangent about colors and Dean gives him a little kiss on the nose. They talk for hours but eventually Dean falls asleep still laying on the ground.
