They sit alone at a table in the library. People whisper but no one's brave enough to say anything to them. "Hey" Cas says softly to Dean "it's gonna be okay." Dean looks up at him. He seems sure and that reassures him a little. Dean nods and smiles. He let's go of Cas's hand and gets his book out of backpack. Cas grabs a book out of his backpack and they sit together, reading. Soon the bell rings and their free period is over. They get up and go to their next class. They sit down in their usual spots and try to act normal. They are surrounded by whispers and stares. The teacher continues as normal but avoids them. It like that next class too. the day seems to drag on but also before dean knows it it's time to go home. Dean goes to his locker and is soon joined by Cas. People have started pointing as well as whispering and staring but everyone's too polite to call them names. They leave the building and start walking home. "I just don't know what my parents will say" Cas says almost inaudibly. Dean looks over at him and sees fear in his eyes. Dean wishes he could do something about the situation they're in. "Yeah me too" he says looking forwards. They reach where they part ways and hesitate a moment. "Call me if something happens" Dean says. "Yeah you too" Cas says holding Dean's hand for a moment before walking off. Dean walks home quickly. He gets to his front door, takes a deep breath, and walks in. Bobby stands in the hallway. Dean inhales sharply and is about to say something but Bobby cuts him off. "I just want you to know," he says "I took you boys in because I care about you and you liking boys won't change a single damn thing." Dean is speechless and Bobby walks forward, wrapping him in a hug. Dean hugs him back and a weight lifts off his shoulders, not all of it but enough that he can breathe again. He let's go, smiles, and goes upstairs to do his homework, texting Cas to tell him what Bobby said. Ten minutes later though he hears a knock on the door. He goes to the top of the stairs to see who it is. Bobby opens the door and Cas stands there, a suitcase in his hand and tears in his eyes. Dean's heart breaks at the sight of him. He thought the look of fear earlier was bad but it was nothing compared to this. "I got kicked out" Cas says, his voice wavering "they already had a bag for me and said don't come back until I've straightened out. I didn't know where else to go." Bobby let's him in the door and Cas looks up the stairs at Dean. Dean runs down the stairs and wraps his arms around him, anything just to never see those bright blue eyes, usually so bright, clouded by tears. Cas clings to him and Dean can feel his shoulders shake as he begins to cry. "Shit this is serious" Bobby says, running a hand over his face. "You two, living room, now" he says, pointing to the living room. Dean guides Cas into the living room and they sit down on the couch. Cas is still crying into Dean's shoulder. They stay like that for a couple minutes until Cas lifts his head, wiping at his eyes. "God I feel so pathetic crying like this" he says, his eyes red from tears. "Hey it's okay" Dean says, wiping a tear off of Cas's cheek. They hug and stay like that in each other's arms until Bobby comes back into the room. "Shit" he says before sitting down. They look at him, sitting forward so they're looking at Bobby. "So you're my boy's boyfriend" Bobby says leaning forward. Cas looks startled and Dean suppresses a pathetic laugh. "Uh yes sir" Cas says. "Let me tell you one thing boy" Bobby says holding up his index finger "the only thing you have to worry about with me is if you hurt Dean. Then you should be scared." Cas smiles and nods. Tension in the room starts to unravel. They hear the door open and close and a second later Sam comes walking into the room. "So he's your boyfriend!" he says. "Yeah" Dean says. "Was not expecting that" Sam says as he walks through the room to the kitchen "cool." He disappears around the corner and Cas looks a little bit relieved. Dean leans into him, smiling.
