They share a look and get up. They walk out the door and up the hallway. "What do you think they want" Dean asks. "I dunno" Cas says. They get to the main office and are directed to the Guidance Counselor's office. They walk in to find Mrs Heather sitting at the table. Mr Michaels is also there looking annoyed. They're both a little hesitant but sit down them. "The events of yesterday have opened our eyes to the situation" Mrs Heather says, "we would like to apologize for our actions." Mr Michaels just nods his head. Dean suppress a laugh. "We accept your apology" he says. Dean's leg is touching Cas's under the table and he can feel him shaking trying to hold a straight face. "Well that's all we wanted to say so you may return to class" Mrs Heather says politely. Cas nods and stands up with Dean. They walk out the door and when they're sure they're out of earshot burst out laughing. "Oh my god that was awkward" Cas says. "Yeah, I was so scared I was gonna laugh" Dean says. When they stop laughing they walk in a warm comfortable silence back to class. When they walk in the teacher is explaining something so they quickly sit down and get to work. The rest of the day goes by surprisingly quickly after that and before Dean knows it he's leaving the school with Cas. "So do you want me to stay over tonight?" Dean asks. "Oh you remembered that" Cas says, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah and you need to sleep" Dean says a little firmly. A hint of blush colors Cas's cheeks just enough for Dean to notice. "Yeah sure" Cas says. "Okay" Dean says, pulling out his phone to text Bobby he's gonna stay over at Cas's tonight. As they walk snow starts to slowly fall from the grey clouds above them. When Dean puts his phone away he looks at Cas and he sees him looking up at the sky with bright eyes. Dean smiles and Cas looks at him with a grin lighting up his face. Snowflakes dust his hair and clothes, standing out against the black. They walk up to Cas's house and walk in. Mrs Novak walks out of the kitchen. "Hello Dean" she says "Cas, you need to take the trash cans down to the curb." "Hello Mrs Novak" Dean says as cas nods and walks back out the door. Dean stands there awkwardly before Mrs Novak tells him to come into the kitchen. He follows her and sits down at one of the chairs. Cas comes back in and calls out for Dean. "I'm in the kitchen" Dean calls back. Cas appears in the doorway and leans against the doorframe. . "Your dad's gonna be late so I'm just going to order pizza" Mrs Novak says as she puts away dishes from the dishwasher. "Okay" Cas says. "Come on Dean" he says, gesturing with his head towards the hallway and turning to walk out of the room. Dean gets up and follows him up to his room. Dean closes the door and looks at Cas who is sitting on his floor with his homework in a pile next to him. He stands up and walks up to Dean, grabbing his shirt and pulling him into a kiss. The touch is firm and full of emotion. "This reminds me of our first kiss" Dean says a little breathlessly when they pull apart, their foreheads still touching. "Doesn't it" Cas says, grinning as he closes the space between their lips. They stay like that for a bit then start on their homework. They're almost done when the pizza arrives and when they go back up to Cas's room an hour later they finish in about 10 minutes. While Dean puts away his papers Cas stands up and walks out of Dean's field of vision. When Dean turns his head to look at Cas he surprises him with another kiss. This one's soft and sweet and leaves him wishing it would never end. Dean happens to glance at the clock and sees that it's surprisingly late. "We should go to sleep now" he says quietly. "Okay" Cas says. They get into the bed with Cas sitting up a little with his arms around Dean who has his head nestled against Cas's neck. They lay there looking up at the glowing galaxy spread across the ceiling. Dean can't help but think about how lucky he is as he drifts off to sleep wrapped in Cas's arms.
