Dean wakes up in his bed, warm light from the rising sun pressing against his eyelids. He opens his eyes and sees Cas pacing around at the floor of the bed. He props himself up on his elbow and looks at Cas. Cas glances over at Dean and stops walking. "Hi" Cas says with a smile. "Hey" Dean says, laying back down. "Did you sleep at all last night" he asks. "No" Cas says a little sheepishly. "But uh, you fell asleep on the floor so I put you into bed" Cas says. "Thanks" Dean says, putting a hand over his eyes. "What are you so nervous about?" Dean says. "Church tomorrow" Cas says as he walks around to the opposite side of the bed from Dean. He layes down so his head is right next to Dean's stomach. "Oh yeah" Dean whispers. "Yeah" Cas says. "Do you believe in God?" Cas asks. "I believe in angels" Dean says after a moment of thought, putting his hand on Cas's arm. Cas's face turns red and he laughs. "Wow I don't think I've ever seen you blush" Dean says. Cas's face only turns redder and he covers his face with his hands. "Seriously though" Cas says, his voice muffled by hands. "I believe in the possibility" Dean says. "That's a nice way of saying I have no idea" Cas says. "What about you?" Dean asks. Cas moves his hands so his eyes are visible. "If he's real he's got a sick sense of humor" Cas says. "Yeah" Dean says. Cas suddenly turns so he's on his stomach. "So I was thinking" he begins "that we should ask Pastor Chuck if we could say something in church tomorrow. 'Cus the entire town is gonna be there so what better time to explain to them about us." "That sounds like a decent plan" Dean says. "It means you have to get out of bed though" Cas says as he leans towards Dean. Dean groans jokingly before Cas kisses him. The kiss is short but sweet and soon Dean is up and getting dressed. Cas sits on the bed drawing in a notebook that's open on his lap. Dean knows Cas keeps glancing at him but doesn't pay him much attention. When Dean is done he goes and sits on the bed next to Cas. He puts his arms around Cas and Cas leans into Dean. Dean watches Cas draw for a moment but then Cas stops. He turns a little in Dean's arms and kisses his lips. Dean can tell he was being gentle around the cut on his lip but he could also tell Cas didn't want to be so gentle. Dean presses into the kiss trying to tell Cas it's okay. Cas seems to get the message and turns fully around, the notebook completely forgotten. All of Dean's thoughts focus on this moment, this touch. They stay locked in this moment for a moment that Dean doesn't care to count but feels like a lifetime and a millisecond. They slowly pull apart and end up just sitting there, breathing the same air and looking down at their hands intertwined, their foreheads touching. Cas smiles and moves so he's looking at Dean. Dean smiles. "Well while that was great" Cas says "I think we gotta actually do stuff now." "Aww" Dean says with a small pretend pout. "Oh come on" Cas says, pulling on Dean's arm as he slides off the bed. "I picked you up once I can do it again" Cas says. "I'd like to see you try" Dean says. Cas smirks, let's go of Dean's arm, and walks over to the side of the bed. He slips his arms under Dean and picks him up bridal style almost effortlessly. "How the hell" Dean says. Cas shrugs after putting down Dean. "Well okay then" dean says before pressing a quick kiss to Cas's lips. They put on their shoes and go downstairs. Bobby is downstairs with Sam in the living room. "And they're alive" Bobby says. Cas laughs, which sort of surprises Dean. "What was that sound coming from your room earlier?" Sam asks. "Oh, I was just pacing around" Cas says. Sam seems to physically relax and dean can't help but laugh. "Well we're gonna go do stuff" Dean says, pulling Cas along. "Be safe" Bobby calls out to them. Dean smiles and opens the door. the snow is a little blinding so he turns around to look at Cas. Cas smiles and closes the door. Dean grabs cas's hand and they head to the church.
