"You really like pissing them off don't 'cha" Dean says as they walk up the hallway. "Yeah well they were being assholes" Cas says "did you think it was too much though." "No I liked it" Dean says. "Well of course you liked it" Cas says playfully, nudging Dean's shoulder, "but what did you think of the message?" "I think it was a nice sweet 'fuck you' to them" Dean says. Cas breathes a sigh of relief. "Whew, I thought I might've overdone it" he says. "Nah, it was good" Dean says. "Well I gotta go this way" Cas says, pointing down the hall when they reach the intersection. "Okay, see you next period" Dean says, letting go of Cas's hand. He walks down the hallway back to his class. The rest of the day seems to drag on. The teachers barely talk to Dean and most of the students avoid him. Needless to say he's glad when the bell rings at the end of the day. Dean goes to his locker to get his stuff. Cas walks up and leans against the lockers after about a minute. He quickly checks his hair in the mirror left in there from last year and Dean can't help but notice how intimidating he looks. Cas, dressed in mostly black with the lip ring and ears peirced, hair swept off to the side. He differs so much from the whole town and stands out because of it but also hides so well from everyone not paying attention. Dean is suddenly overwhelmed for a moment by his feelings for this amazing and unique guy who stumbled into his life. Cas looks over at Dean and smirks. "Whatcha thinkin' about?" he asks softly. "You" Dean says. "Good thing to think about" Cas says with a little laugh. "Yeah I'd say so" Dean says, pressing a quick kiss to Cas's lips while no one was looking. Dean closes his locker and they head outside. They're walking down the hallway a little way behind the big group of students. Dean is talking to Cas when suddenly he sees movement in his peripheral. He moves his head to get a better look when suddenly something hard collides with the side of his face, sending him crashing into Cas and onto the floor. Cas is almost immediately up and chasing this kid down the hallway but as Dean is getting up someone runs in front of him and kicks him in the stomach before running off. Dean is sure they said something but is too distracted by the pain in his face and stomach to listen. "Hey get up" he hears a teacher yell. "Principal's office now" she says. Dean groans, gets up, and starts to walk to the principal's office, remembering the last time a teacher said that to him. The teacher walks right behind him and urges him to walk quicker. they get to the principal's office and Dean sees both of the kids who attacked him sitting on one side of the row of chairs both with smug grins on their faces and Cas sitting on the other side looking like he wants to murder someone. While Cas has a couple cuts and a bruise on his jaw Dean notes that both kids look like they're in pain. Cas sees Dean and starts to stand up but is told to sit down by the teacher. She tells Dean to sit down sternly and goes into the office. "Are you okay" Cas says worriedly when the door closes. "Eh" Dean says pressing his thumb to his lip, raising it to find blood. Cas shoots death glares at the kids and Dean almost thinks they cower under the stare. the look even makes Dean a little afraid but it melts away when Cas looks back at Dean. They're all called into the office and sit down on the couch. "I should expel the lot of you but given the circumstances you will only be given extended detentions" Mr Michaels says. "Dean didn't even do anything!" Cas retorts "they're the ones who attacked him, he didn't even fight back!" "He was still involved in a fight" Mr Michaels says. "That's not fair!" Cas says. "It's what you fags deserve" one of the boys says. None of the three adults say anything but one of them gives the kid a look. "Well you boys should get going" Mr Michaels says, "you'll have some explaining to do to your folks." Cas and Dean leave the office and as quickly as Cas let's Dean walk, leave the building.
