Chapter 8

Sungjae's POV:

They were getting closer, and closer, and closer. I couldnt have them kiss. I shoved Shinhye to the side to keep them from getting any closer. In the end, Hyunsik and Eunkwang Hyung won the pepero game. I kept Shinhye from kissing Ilhoon and, even better, Shinhye was staying  over. I was happy, and I started to talk to Changsub Hyung. 

"I saw you shove her, you really like her dont you?" Changsub hyung asked.

"Of course I do, who doesnt?" I joked.

"Well, Im pretty sure Ilhoon likes her too...I heard they were friends during school..And I also think that Shinhye is having feelings for Ilhoon..."Changsub hyung said.

"Oh...well....I mean, They were just friends. It doesnt bother me all that much. And Ilhoon hyung knows that I like Shinhye alot. Its ok."I said.

I walked to the room where Shinhye was and I found them kissing. Was it true? Did SHinhye have feelings for Ilhoon hyung? It wasnt happening. Ilhoon Hyung went out and said goodnight. I was shocked. I sat down next to Shinhye..and she told me nothing had happened. Shinhye never lied to me, so nothing must have happened. I calmed down. I told her good night and went out. I found Ilhoon hyung wrestling with Minhyuk hyung and playing/fooling around. 

"Ilhoon hyung, can we talk?"I asked.

"Sure, lets go outside."He said.

We went outside and I confronted him.

"Did you kiss Shinhye?"I asked,

"Why does it matter to you?"He replied.

"Well, you know I like Shinhye, so..."I said awkwardly. This was our first time having a confrontation or anything near it.

"I know you like her, but do you know the fact that I like Shinhye too?"He said,

"Hyung! Shinhye is my girl, so back off."I said. 

"She isnt your girl. You guys arent even dating. You just met her, but I was her friend in school. I liked her from then, so technically, I liked her first."He said.

I punched Ilhoon hyung. I aggrevated me. What? So he is basically telling ME to back off. Tch, yeah right. I heard a gasp. 

"Shinhye....How long were you up there?"I asked..

"Just now....Ilhoonie? Are you ok??" She asked with concern.

Ilhoonie? What was that? Pet names? Are they dating? She ran over to Ilhoon hyung and cared for him. SHe took him inside looking concerned. I just couldnt help but feel jealousy when she looked at him with caring eyes. I went inside 10 minutes later and they were sitting together at the table...holding hands. Oh gosh, this cant be happening.

"Sungjae...Why did you punch Ilhoon? What did he do?"She asked. She made me feel like the bad person, like a villain.

"I....well.....you see....."I stuttered.

"It was nothing Shinshin. Dont worry about it. Im fine, go sleep."Ilhoon hyung said.

Shinshin? My heart sank. Seriously. Ugh. She went inside and Ilhoon hyung came up to me.

"Look, I dont want things to come between us. Im really sorry if I came across as rude and arrogant. You know how I can be sometimes. Lets agree that any girl wont come in between us. Meaning, no one gets Shinhye, Ok?"Ilhoon hyung asked.

"...I dont know if I can do that hyung. Im really sorry."I replied.

"...I see. Well. I see how much you like her, but...If you arent giving up, just know that I wont either."He said.

"Alright, goodnight hyung."I said.

"Goodnight Sungjae."He said.

I wasnt going to give up on Shinhye, no matter who stops me. Its all in the matter of love. Love makes you do crazy things, I cant help it.
