You Mean Something To Me

Not So Bad Night

Colleen's POV:
I woke up and went out to my kitchen. My apartment was pretty small. My sister Rachel was sitting on my couch. She had a key for emergencies.
"Heyy I got bagels." She said. I laughed and grabbed the bag. We sat down and are the bagels. I opened the laptops and the comments and tweets just came in.
"Colleen stop reading those. Your perfect." She said.
"What am I supposed to do? Everywhere I go there is hate." I said annoyed. She sighed. I scrolled through my recommended and a person name Rebecca Zamolo. I clicked on her video and was a collab with a fan. That was such a cute idea. I watched some of her other videos and commented saying we should collab. I knew she probably would just ignore it. Before I could blink there was already hundreds of comments.

"Don't collab with her."
"Really Colleen? Just give up on YouTube."
"Trying to be liked by people like..."

I kept scrolling through and saw she tweeted me.

Hey @ColleenB123! We should totally collab!!! DM me girl! 😜

I was so shocked. She really wanted to collab? This was cool a video with someone besides my sister! Maybe I'll make a new friend. I DMed her and we made a date to collab. I was so excited.

-Collab Day-

Today we were going to collab and I am so excited. Finally somebody is willing to make a video with me. I arrived at her house and she opened the door.
"Hi!!" She said and hugged me. She was already so nice and I didn't even know her.
"Becca do y'all have kale??" A lightly southern voice said coming out from the hallway. He walked up behind Rebecca. I think that is her husband but whoever he is, he is hot. He stared into my eyes.
"Joshua this is Colleen, Colleen, Joshua." Rebecca said to us.
"Hi." I said shyly.
"Why hello there." He said smiling. And shaking my hand.
"Are you her husband?" I asked. They looked at each other.
"Ew. I mean no not like that!! I'm good friends with her husband Matt! I'm not her husband. I've just known her for like 6 years." Joshua said.
"Ohh." I said. Great I already sounded like a complete freak.
"And yes we do have kale its in the fridge." Rebecca said. Rebecca led me into her bedroom and we set up our cameras.
"So how far away do you live?" She asked.
"Not fat at all! I was only like 10 minutes!" I said. We talked some more than sat down on her bed.
"Why was everyone so mean about me collabing with you?" Rebecca asked.
"I wish I knew. People have just been giving me so much hate. I don't know why but they did. I used to have a character called Miranda but she lost subs so I stopped her and people just think I shouldn't be doing YouTube. But I love it. Just without support its kind of hard." I said. She hugged me.
"People are rude. I watched your videos and loved them." She said smiling. I smiled back. We filmed some videos and talked some more.
We walked out into her living room and Joshua and Rebecca's husband Matt were sitting there just on there phones.
"Woah guys calm down!!" I said. They laughed. People laughed!! I made people laugh!! I looked at Joshua and he looked at me with these sweet blue eyes. He smiled and blushed. He was adorable.
"Wanna stay for dinner?" She asked. I wanted to ask if Joshua was staying for obvious reasons but I didn't.
"Yeah sure." I said.
"I'll stay too." Joshua said. I smiled but I tried to hide it.
"Okayyy then." Rebecca said. Maybe this night will turn out better than I thought.
