Lead to Something

Colleen's POV:
We all sat down at the table and Joshua sat down across from me. He was staring at me smiling. Usually I would think this was creepy but he made it somewhat cute.
"Um so I can't cook so I ordered Sushi." Rebecca said laughing.
"Ooo I love sushi!" I said.
"Me too!" Joshua said. Rebecca looked at us and smirked.
"Okay then. Matt come here real quick." Rebecca said dragging him out of the room. Joshua and I were just sitting there. Alone.
"So how long have you been doing YouTube for?" He asked scratching the back of his head.
"Um 6 years." I said.
"That's cool! I have a channel to but it's kind of a nothing." He said.
"You'll probably get somewhere. I heard you signing with Matt. You guys sounded really good." I said smiling. He blushed and I died a little inside. But then it hit me. He is just being nice. Why would he want to date me? Look at me. I have absolutely no chance with a guy like him. We talked for a few more minutes and he was really sweet. He even gave me his number and said we should collab!! He is being nice though. He is probably just using me so I can't get to attached to him.

The rest of the night was great. Joshua and I talked a lot and Rebecca and I became pretty good friends. Wow I have a friend. It was 11pm and I was gonna leave.
"I'm gonna leave now but thanks for having me!!" I said.
"Yeah I should probably go too!" Joshua said. He walked out behind me. I liked that actually. I hated the dark but I felt safe with him around.
"Stay close I hate the dark." I said laughing.
"Okay." He said laughing. I heard something in the bushes and screamed. Joshua was laughing so hard.
"Colleen calm down it was the wind." He said laughing. Great now he thinks I'm a wimp who can't hold herself together.
"Sorry. Told you I got scared of everything." I said. He walked me over to his car.
"Hey text me. I really want to collab." He said smiling.
"Okay I will." I said. He smiled as we both went to our cars. I looked at his contact in my phone. Maybe this could lead to something.
