My Happiness

Colleen's POV:
It has been a day and the doctors haven't called me. I have called Joshua's parents and told them what happened. I have been worried sick. I haven't eaten anything, I haven't had a drink. Rachel texted me seeing if I was okay but I couldn't respond. There is a good chance that the person who cared about me most in the world is dead. I heard my door unlock and Rachel came into my room. I got up and hugged her tight. She hugged me back. I smelt food. She gave me the food without talking.
"Want to talk?" She asked. I shook my head no as I felt tears come in my eyes.
"He will be fine Colleen." Rachel said. I heard my phone ringing. I jumped up to it and it was the doctor.
"Hi." I said.
"Colleen! Great news! Joshua made it out alive. He isn't up right now but he will be in a little bit. There is some bad news though but I will tell you once you get here." The doctor said.
"Okay thank you doctor I'll be right over." I said.
"He made it Rachel!!! He isn't up right now." I said. She smiled.
"Good." She said.
"Rach I'm sorry for how I was yesterday I was just stressed." I said.
"Did you cut." She asked.
"No." I said. I just lied to my sister. I didn't have time to deal with her being mad at me though. We got in the car and drove down to the hospital. I got into his room. He was laying there in bed as his heart monitor was beating slowly. I grabbed his hand and kissed it.
"Well Colleen. He is going to have a high chance of having heart attacks. Also, he is going no to have chest pain for the next week. He needs to be careful and not do to much physical active." He said. I nodded.
"I'm gonna leave because he will be up soon and I want to give you all some time alone." The doctor said.
"Thank you so much." I said.
"I'm gonna leave to Colleen call me if you need something." Rachel said. I nodded.
"I love you rachel." I said. She hugged me.
"Love you." I said.
I got a chair and sat by the bed. Joshua's eyes flutter open.
"Hey baby." He said.
"Hi." I said rubbing his cheek. I leaned in and kissed him.
"I'm so glad your alive. You saved my life." I said crying.
"I would save your life again." He said. He scoffed over and I got in the bed next to him.
"Did they arrest her? Did she hurt you." He asked.
"Yes. She didn't hurt me physically. Mentally yes." I said. He kissed me head.
"I love you baby. I thought you were gonna leave me." I said.
"Never." I said. I kissed him again. He rubbed my arm and my sleeve lift up. He look at me.
"Did you?" He asked sitting up.
"Um I-"
"Colleen baby. You promised." He said sadly. I made him sad. I hugged him started crying.
"I'm sorry Joshua!!! Please forgive me. I thought you were gonna die. All I could think about is how this was my fault. You deserve a way better girl than me." I said sobbing.
"I don't know what I did to get you. Your perfect baby. Please don't do this you think it's helping you but your just making yourself worse." He said. He kissed me.
"Joshua. I was more depressed than usual this time. I cut more places." I said. I showed him my stomach but then quickly put my shirt down. He put his hand on my shirt but I stopped it. I was so embarrassed and self-conscious about my stomach.
"I'm not judging you." Joshua said sweetly.
"Your either gonna say I'm to fat or I'm to skinny." I said.
"Or that your beyond perfect." He said lifting up my shirt. He looked at me with sad eyes. He grabbed onto me tight and laid me down with him. He ran his fingers through my hair. This is what I needed. He is my happiness.
