Chapter XVIII: Baby

Daniel was shaking when he wiped Kath's tears. She saw how his hands shook probably with fear of what he just witnessed. Naintindihan ni Kath yon, anyone who have seen what she just did and how she transformed somehow will run for their lives.

But Daniel did not. He stayed and hugged her instead.

He held her hand tightly saying that "It's okay."

Umiiyak si Kath. She didn't know how she did what she just did.

Nilibot ni Kath ang mga mata niya habang yakap siya ni Daniel. Glasses were shattered from the walls and and windows, chairs scattered all over the floor as if may dumaang bagyo.

Inalala ni Kath ang mga pangyayari. When she saw Daniel in so much pain, she also felt that she couldn't bear seeing him that way. Muntik ng mapahamak si Dj dahil sa kanya.

Earlier, may kung ano sa loob niya ang nagbago. She felt differently, she felt power rise in her system and remembering those words coming out from her mouth as she was about to cast a spell. Naguguluhan siya, hindi niya maalalang may ganoon siyang kapangyarihan.

A mirror which was already broken is placed near the door of the hall. There she saw her eyes. Bright. Glowing. In color of gold.

Gulat si Kath sa nakita niya sa sariling repleksyon. Hinawakan niya ito ng dahan dahan. Sinubukan niyang pumikit at baka sakali pag dilat niya uli hindi na ginto ang kulay ng mata niya.

"Anong nangyayari sa akin?" she asked herself in fear.

Pag dilat niya ang lumiliwanag pa din ang mga mata niya. Binitawan niya si Daniel at kumalas sa pagkakayakap nito sa kanya.

Kath took a step back, and another then another then another. Slowly, with tears falling. She tried to cover her eyes,then her face. Pilit niyang tinakpan ang mga mata niya habang pabilis ng pabilis ang takbo niya palabas ng lugar na iyon.

Pagdating niya sa labas, unti unti pumatak ang ulan. Hindi pa rin tinatanggal ni Kath ang kamay niya sa mukha niya sa takot niyang may makakita sa kanyang ibang tao. At makita nilang kakaiba ang mga mata niya, malalaman nilang kakaiba siya.

Lumakas pa ang buhos ng ulan, walang pakialam si Kathryn kung basang basa na siya. Patuloy pa rin siyang tumatakbo. She is heading to the parking lot. Trying to find her car.

Hirap na hirap siyang hanapin ang kotse dahil hindi niya binubuksan ng maayos ang mga mata niya. Because of what happened earlier it caused Kath disorientation. She forgot that she parked her car in the parking lot near the hotel.

She started to fish her keys inside her bag while eyes closed in the middle of the rain, in the middle of the parking lot. Nahanap na niya ito at sinimulan pindutin ang alarm. She target it in any direction. Para siyang nag lalaro ng guessing game. Kath is trying to guess which car is hers with eyes closed.

Kahit anong pindot niya ay walang tumutunog na sasakyan. She started to cry hard. She just needs to be away because she is scared. She is scared of herself.

Noong tumakbo si Kath palabas, natigil si Daniel. Nagisip siya kung totoo ba talaga ang nangyari kanina then he felt that pain on his arms like it was twisted very hard. Totoo mga ang nangyari. Totoong may kakaiba at totoong iba si Kathryn.

He was scared, he didn't deny that but there was more than that he felt at that time. Daniel felt he needed to be with her. He knows how scared she is too. Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas ay tumakbo na rin siya palabas at sinalubong siya ng malakas na malakas na ulan.
