Chapter XXIII: Spot

"A river cuts through a rock not because of its power but its persistence."

Daniel carefully put Kathryn on her bed, carnation pink colored sheets and white pillows welcomed her body that was soaked in rain.

Agad na hinanap ni Daniel ang towel nito, dumiretso siya sa banyo at may nakitang may nakatuping towel na puti. Kinuha niya ito at bumalik kay Kathryn.

He quickly covered her with the bath towel.

"Okay na ha? You're home. I'm here Baby. You're home." trying to calm her down while patting her dry from her hair to her shoulders.

Tumingin si Kath sa boyfriend niyang alalang alala sa kanya. He too,was soaked with rain, his hair dripping wet but he seem not to mind it at all. Daniel was busy taking care of Kath.

Kath stared at him intently. She stares at him with wonder. How could this man sitting next to him accept her completely?

Completely;Every art and every crack. Every truth and every secret. Edge and flaws altogether.

Kathryn at this point realized that he accepted her when she couldn't even look at what she has become. That was love.

Kinuha ni Kathryn ang kabilang dulo ng tuwalya at sinimulan rin niyang punasan ang buhok ni Daniel. She reciprocated his actions. She was thankful and she wanted to do the same for him. Whether to help him dry up or to fight for him, either way she wanted to do the same things for him.

"Hinding hindi ako matatakot para sa atin.." sabi ni Kathryn na may luhang tumatakas sa mata.

Binitawan ni Daniel ang tuwalya na hawak niya kanina. He cupped her face and wiped her tears that were falling.

"Simula ngayon,lagi mo na akong kasama. Hinding hindi kita iiwan." Daniel promised which made her cry even more.

Yung pakiramdam na mawala man sayo ang lahat, iwan ka man nilang magisa, sasalungat man sila sa lahat ng pinaniniwalaan mo, talikuran at husgahan ka man ng mundo, hanggat may isang kamay na nakahawak sayo at sinasabing "Andito lang ako.", wala kang mararamdamang takot. Hinding hindi ka magaalinlangan na humakbang, at lumaban.

Daniel was holding her face with both hands, wiping each tear that escapes her eyes.He was cupping her face, without letting go of her eyes while she continued to pat his hair dry.

Inilapit ni Daniel ang mukha niya kay Kathryn, malapit na malapit, hanggang isang hininga na lang ang pagitan. He gently traced her face with his thumb-- from her eyes to her nose, down to her lips. He suddenly felt a lump on his throat, as he was also about to cry.

Naalala niyang kung nahuli siya ng dating kanina, ay baka nawala na si Kathryn sa kanya dahil sa aksidente. Hindi niya kakayanin ang hindi ito makita. The thought of losing her is unbearable for him.

He closed his eyes as he placed his lips onto hers and slowly moved.

They kissed.

The world stopped.

It was slow, taking time, savoring each touch of his lips to hers. It wasn't long enough when Kath returned his kisses.

Ang kamay ni Kathryn na kanina ay hawak ang tuwalya at tinutuyo ang basang buhok ni Daniel ay bumaba sa kanyang balikat,locking it with her another arm around his neck. She moved even closer to him, closing the tiny space that there was.

She put her magic to use and closed the door of her room. Giving them the privacy for an intimate exchange of emotions inside her room. She closed and locked it without breaking off with their kiss.
