Y/N's POV:

"Fight me!" I launched forward, only to be caught by the neck of the demon. My sword was useless in this time. I fell to the ground, not giving up. The promise, the promise! I had to keep fighting. For Randy! "Oh, how touching," Bill said with a sickly smile. "You really think you can save your friend? He's in a coma, and he is rotting inside. One day, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, he will die. And what will you have left? Nothing."
"Shut up... Shut up... SHUT UP!!!!!" I yelled racing forward and slicing aimlessly, trying to get a slice here or there. But I could find nothing but air. Until my last blow. It struck Bill's arm and he let out a grunt of pain and anger and held his arm quickly. I felt triumph at this small victory. But it was shortly lived by the way the wound grew back quietly and quickly.
"Brat!" He hissed and threw me to the ground, picking me up again and throwing me out of the tree line and near city limits. "I promise you will pay!" I lay there, not finding the courage or the strength to fight anymore. I've broken my promise. I'm so sorry my love! I whimpered. Bill roared and I could hear his pounding footsteps against the grass. I sighed in and out. But then, a screeching suck of breath in made me open my eyes to see Bill standing not even 3 feet away from me. His face was frozen in pain and his chest had been impaled by a long, pointed dagger.
He fell to the ground, disintegrating into dust. Behind him stood Dipper. "Need some help?" He said. He grabbed the dagger up from the snow and walked over to help me up. "Thanks, Dip," I said. He smiled at me, that cheeky 12-year-old smile. I smiled back and got to my feet.
"Don't mention it. Ford wants to see Randy," he said. Fear struck down my heart.
"Y-you know who I am?" I gasped. Dipper nodded.
"Yeah, Y/N. Of course I do," he said. I looked into his eyes and nodded, taking my mask off. "Ok. If Ford wants to see him, it will have to be tomorrow. Ask him to meet me on the West side of town. Ok?" I said. Dipper nodded.
"Safe travels, Y/N. Randy is in my thoughts and prayers," he said, running back to he forest. I nodded and clutched my side and walked back home.

I woke to the sound of my phone ringing. I breathed in an irritated sigh and picked the phone up. It was Howard. "Howy, you can't call right now...," I said, sleepily. The clock on my nightstand read 5:43 am.
"I know! But I have something really important to tell you." It sounded urgent, so I didn't decide to hang up.
"It's about Randy."
"Well, gee! Thanks, Captain Obvious!"
"Y/N. This is serious."
"What happened?"
Silence. It was like a scary movie with the eerie music in the background.
"He's... Not doing so well. The doctors-"
"Grab your shit and leave. We are going over right now. Better bring your A game, Howard. Cause no way in hell are we gonna let him die." I said and hung up.
"Damn, I'm hard core." I said.

7:45 am

I had picked Ford up and portrayed him as my grandpa so we could sneak into the hospital. Ford had brought a suitcase full of helpful items. "You're sure you know what you're doing? Cause if my bae dies, I'm gonna kill you," I said. Ford laughed and nodded to me. Howard was beside me. We had our plan laid out perfectly. We walked into the building and got to Randy's room. It still hurt me to see him in that coma. I just wanted to rip it away from him so he could be with me again!
"Ok. Lock the door," Ford whispered. Howard hocked it behind him and placed papers over the window so no one could see inside. Ford opened his case of items and took out a magnifying glass and a stethoscope. He placed the hearing piece on Randy's rising and falling chest. "Normal, slow," Ford said. He took out a small screen and looked over Randy's head. He nodded and hummed to himself as he worked.
About an hour later, he was ready to try and wake Randy up. "I'm going to see what I can do. If any of you have objections, questions, comments, concerns, say them now," he said seriously. Howard raised his hand.
"Could this kill him?" He asked. Ford looked at him then away. Yes. The missing word hung there like a bat in a cave. Ford took out his journal and started reading a series of words from it, place his hand on Randy's forehead.
I closed my eyes and grasped Howard's hand. Please, work. Please! I thought desperately. A bright light flashes outside of my eyelids and when I opened them, Ford was packing up. I glanced at Randy and ran over to him. "Babe?" I whispered, full of hope. Nothing. I closed my eyes and felt the tears fall with my sobs. My head laid on the bed and I felt a hand grab my shoulder. "Ford said that it might take a few hours. I'm going to go grab some lunch," Howard's voice said. I nodded on the sheets and stayed there. I couldn't live like this, waiting. Hoping, that somehow he would be alright. I fell to a sitting position on the floor.  "I know it's late," I whispered through the brokenness I felt in my heart. It hurts so bad! "But stay asleep. I'll be here to watch you fall into your dreams. I'll be here to keep the night mares away. And I'll stay here, forever, and ever." After I had sang the song I had heard Randy sing that night, I had fallen asleep. I just wanted to stay this way forever, with Randy's cold, limp hand in mine. And asleep like him. With him...

Randy's POV:

My eyes flicked open to bright sunlight streaming into a room. I blinked slowly, trying to regain my thoughts. It felt like I had been sleeping forever! My vision was blurred as well as my mind. I tried to lift my hand, but something gripped it. I glanced down and saw another hand. Smaller in size and more... delicate. I pulled on it again, getting no response that it would let go. What...? Who? Y/N? I thought.
"Y/N?" I said.
"Yeah?" She said back, looking my way with sleepy eyes. She looked at me for three seconds before she got to her feet. She squealed out with excitement, she jumped up and down, and she said my name over and over again. She rushed forward and slung her arms around my neck and shoulders. Her arms and shoulders shook with joy and her eyes were wet with tears. "I'm home...," I said, quietly, bringing my hand up to rest it on her shoulder. She nodded and shuddered out a crying breath.
"I know, dear. I know," she whispered. She broke away from me and looked me in the eyes. At that moment, I wanted to hold her. I wasted to keep her with me and never lose sight of her. I wanted to hold her hand. I wanted to do everything with her. But I was too weak. The door burst open and I saw Howard's orange hair pop out. "Y/N! What the... Cunningham!" He yelled. I smiled at him as he rushed forward and hugged me. I felt like everything was finally right in the world. "We thought you were dead!" Howard exclaimed. Y/N gave him a shocking glare and her jaw dropped open. "Howard Weinerman!" she exclaimed.
"Nothing can keep this warrior down, Big H. And you knew I was gonna pull through," I said, giving him a sideways glance. After I said that, pain erupted from my arm and back. I cringed, but nothing could hold my happiness. Nurses, doctors and other people started to fill the room with questions and concerns and clipboards with papers on my health. I saw in between the doctors and the nurses, Y/N, Ford, and Howard were standing there, smiling and walked out of the room. Today was a new day, and I had so much to catch up on.

Back At School From Winter Break

"Hey, shoobs!" I said, walking through the doors of my school. "Randy!" Y/N and Howard said and ran up to me. I held up my hands, but smiled. Y/N and Howard looked over at my left arm and saw the pure white cast. Instantly, Y/N took out a red pen. "Can I..?" she asked quietly, eyeing me intently. I nodded and smiled as she drew hearts and signed her name on my cast.
When we walked into class, it was like we had dropped from being hero's of today's world down to the dumbest things that laid on their faces for the popular people to walk all over. Not a great feeling. Y/N was still getting glares and silent treatments from Debby, Therisa, and Melody. But, some of the other girls had left and went to support Y/N. I felt that funny, little glow in my heart of how I loved her. "How can you be so beautiful?" I asked her at lunch.
She giggled and blushed when I asked.
