Y/N's POV:

The air around me is cold and rises up as I stand in the darkness. Everything before now was just a blur of pain before the darkness. I  felt the gravity of earth coming closer and closer as the elevator plummeted down farther and farther. My rage was strong but still aflame. It took me forever to feel this way, so I was going to make it last. Killing something would make me feel far better now.
And I didn't just want one thing killed. I was going after her. She needed to pay for what she caused. Then the darkness opened to light gray light. I took in a breathe, ignoring my rising heart rate. A huge, circular arena coiled around me, engravings of snakes, diamonds, feathers, and weaving vines painted the walls in light and shadows.
I walked around the circle, letting my fingers trace the body of a diamond scaled snake. It's mouth was open, it's long fangs were sharp and it's eye was perfectly etched into the wall like a cat's eye. I stared at it as it chased another snake. I counted the snakes as I walked around the circle, counting nine. They all had their mouths open, their fangs sharp, but the scale pattern was always different. I blinked at the gray walls, finding a story in the carvings.
The nine snakes seemed to represent nine friends. They soon became jealous of each other and betray each other, ripping apart the very fabric of their friendship. Brother turned on brother, leading to their destruction.
"Fancy my art?" I turned my head slowly to see a white figure standing before me. Silence as deadly as the snakes on the walls wrapped around the room. I stood there, keeping my eyes locked with hers, which were still covered by her cape.
"Is this a prophecy?" I asked into the silence, blinking my gaze way to the walls again. The white figure nodded walking sideways towards the walls. She lifted one finger and touched it to the snake carving, causing it to light up white. I stared as the other snakes around me light up. One by one. Red. Green. Orange. Pink. Gray. Purple. Blue. Yellow. Symbols lit up up by the head of the snakes.
"These are us, aren't they?" I asked, staring at the white snake.
"Yes. The prophecy is almost complete," she said. I breathed in a breath and whirled around to face her.
"What does the prophecy say?" I asked forcefully. White Demon stood there in the light, probably thinking about what to say.
"Nine to eight, the last will rise. Eight to seven, the last will rise. Seven to six, the last will rise. Six to five, the last will rise," she said slowly. "Five to four, the last will rise. Four to three, the last will rise. Three to two, the last will rise. Two to one, the last will rise. You have yet to rise, yet to kill the darkness, yet to be the hero."
I gritted my teeth, now remembering the anger I felt for this beast. Although she knew more than I did, she had to pay. I narrowed my eyes and sprinted towards her, reaching back to grab the handle of my silver sword. Anger flared around me and I felt so powerful when I leapt into the air and was ready to cut her in half.
Just as my sword was not even two centimeters away from her head, she stepped out of my blade's range. I blinked in confusion as I hit the ground, but was still determined to kill her. Swinging my sword, kicking and punching through the air, I tried to get her off balance but everything I tried was met with another dodge. "Fight me!" I screamed, jumping into the air and coming down to where my sword was an inch or so from her face.
But she showed no emotion of fear. Not a single shred of it. "Trying hard to beat the boss?" she commented, her voice so cold, it was hot. I lunged forward again, but her hands clasped around my blade, holding it in place with barely any force.
"You are weak, Snowbird. You try too hard, as if this could be your death." I glared at her and went loose, letting my sword clank on the hard, stone floor. "There is another way to stop this," she continued, staring at me under the veil of white.
"What do you mean?" I asked, not taking my eyes off her head.
"Join me. Come to the dark side of your powers, and I can spare everyone's life. I can bring the one's you have forgotten, the one's who have fallen, back to life. All you have to do is take my hand." I hung my head a little, thinking hard. Blue, Sakira, Myst, Flare, Kai, Carissa, Esmerelda, Ninja, and Reaper... They could all be spared if I just took the agreement. But they'd rather see me die for what we had then be pathetic and agree to this monster's terms...
"I will not join you. Unlike you, I know what is good and what is bad. And also unlike you, I don't torture people to death!" I stood up and faced her with squared shoulders. Her smile dropped. Not emotion shone on her lips.
"Very well," she said, her voice echoing around the room, "may you find the light to bring you home." I blinked and the room became bigger. I was in the center still, and two cages were buried into the walls. "Snowbird! It's me, Ninja!" His black and red hand waved through the cage bars. I glanced over at the other cage.
"Reaper?" I saw two aqua lights shone in the cage. "Yeah, that's you alright." A mechanical roar sounded above, making the room quiet and still, as if covered in ice. My skin prickled in goosebumps as a large creature flew under the glass dome that showed the sky above the arena. It had wings, a large, swishing tail, and fire was smoking out of it's mouth. Sparks spiraled down and spattered into ashes of gray.
"Dragons?" Ninja asked.
"Dragons," I answered, not taking my eyes off the sky as more mechanical roars echoed and more dark dragon's flew past the blue crystal glass above. The cage doors lifted opened slowly, allowing the two remaining Ninja to stand by me. My adrenaline spiked, I could hear my heart in my chest pounding like a church bell. I could feel it pulse against my ribs, making my arms numb.
This is it... This is it..! Oh, God. Please, let us get out of here alive! I think franticly. The last word of my thoughts hung on my mind and on my lips. "Alive..." was all I could say.

Nearly over with book two! :D YAY!
Now, I'm just saying, if you don't want to read the next chapter because of what you read. Just skip the the next part because you're only going to miss how Reaper dies. *SHRUGS*
So, I hope that this was a good book, almost done. Uhm. Yeah.
