Y/N's POV:

The snow was starting to melt out in the forest. The days were getting longer, and the sun was getting warmer. And best of all, no robots, monsters, or anything for the past two weeks! It seemed like nothing could break our good luck this spring. Well... Except for when we had to help Ford, Stan, Dipper, and Mabel out of Norriseville. "You sure you wanna leave?" Randy asked. "I mean... It's been so long since we'd met. I feel like you guys need to stay!" Dipper shook his head with a sad smile.
"We need to get home," he said calmly. "We haven't seen the last of Bill, that's for sure. But you guys were a huge help to us and we really appreciate it. We won't forget you."
I smiled at Randy and he nodded back. A day later, the portal was up and running. Howard and Randy came with me as we bid them farewell. "Hope you know what you're doing, Poindexter," Stan said grumpily to his brother before turned back to us. "Thanks kids for helping my nephew. Hope your arm gets better, Ran." He smiled at us and tipped his fez to us and we nodded in agreement to it. A blueish green dimension filled the large circle that was outlined in metal.
"Ready, kidos?" Ford said to Dipper and Mabel. They shook their heads and glanced over at us. Ford nodded and let them run over to us. Dipper ran up to me and hugged me again. "Thank you... You saved my life," he whispered through the short sobs. I nodded and hugged him back. I patted his head and sighed.
"And you saved mine. I won't ever forget that. Never, ever!" I said, crouching down to eye level with him. He nodded and rubbed his nose before walking away with his sister. I stood back up and felt Randy's hand grip my shoulder. We waved as the family walked through the portal and out of our sight. After they had left, the portal shut off and they were gone.
"That's it," Howard said. "You still think that vending machine still works? Cause I'm starving!" Randy and I rolled our eyes and we all agreed to go to PJ McFlubbusters.

Randy's POV: (A Few Days Later)

"Alright, Mr. Cunningham. Let's take a look at that arm of yours," the doctor said. He reached forward and broke the cast off. It felt really weird. I was so used to the weight of the bandages, it felt weightless now. Y/N was leaping up and down in a circle in the room. I smiled and rolled my eyes at her. "Now, bend your arm this way," the doctor said, holding my arm and bending it at the elbow. I was tested on a few other things and then was let go.
"Need a ride home?" Y/N asked. I shook my head and smiled at her.
"Nah, I've got to go meet Howard at the game hole later. Kinda a guy's day, ya know?" I said. She nodded and gave me a hug before we left. The streets were busy when I was headed to the game hole. The memory was like an ice burg in the desert, plain as day, of when those monsters attacked me. I shook my head to release my troubled mind and thought of what games we were gonna play.
I walked in and saw Howard leaning against a wall, carefully counting his money. "How long have you been here?" I asked. Howard shrugged.
"Long enough," he said getting up. "Got your cast off ok?" He eyed my arm and I nodded with a triumphant smile. Nothing can keep this warrior down, I thought bravely. "Yea- hey! Did I ever tell you-" I glanced around quickly and leaned forward,"-that Y/N is the white ninja!" Howard looked shocked before it disappeared to that "I-already-knew" face. "It was kinda obvious," he said, walking up the a grave puncher game. I thought it over quickly and it did make a ton of sense. Well, not at first, but later on, yeah. I could see it clearly.

Two Hours Later

"Best. Hokin'. Game. Day. Ever!" I said to Howard as we walked home. "I know, right! When you that high score with that one and how I punched the dragon in the face!" Howard exclaimed before exploding into laughter. I missed these days sh were it was just me and Howard. Normally, I was with Y/N. Now, don't say that I hate being with my girlfriend, but I just need some time away.
"Hey, wanna stay over and play grave puncher ALL NIGHT?" I said, excitement blaring. Howard nodded and we raced home, excited. It was at least two hours later after we had finished 15 rounds of Grave Puncher. "I'm gonna your high score, Big H!" I exclaimed, narrowing my eyes off the screen in front of me. And just as I was gonna make my final blow, Nomicon went off. It made me jump when I heard that ancient voice calling me, I missed and Howard won.
"Hahahahaha!" He said, rolling over on his back. "And you thought you were gonna win. Oh, Cunningham. That arm is probably treating you terribly." He looked at me and I glared at him. I really wanted to see how funny it was when he was dancing over hot coals. Anyways. I grabbed the book and opened it. I tumbled down into a puff of clouds and landed on one of them. Before me stood six other beings. It was kinda hard hard to see their faces, but I knew these weren't just any old people. They were ninja's. I gasped as they unsheathed their ninja swords and pointed them at me. I could have sworn that they were very close to cutting me when they swung them down and drove them into the clouds, bowing before me.
"Uhh, thanks?" I said, standing up. Above their heads, words appeared and I read aloud. "Great leaders inspire greatness in others." Then I was pressed out of the pages to Howard who had a marker in his hand.
"Howard. What have you done. It isn't even a question anymore," I said bluntly. Howard took the marker tip away, looking guilty.
