Randy's POV:
"So, you three are from a near by town called Norriseville?" Dipper asked.
"And you found the Mystery Shack because Y/N knew where it was already?" Mable asked, a bit more excitedly than Dipper.
The twins, Mabel and Dipper, just can't stop asking these stupid random questions! I'm a little tired of it. Y/N answers every question cheerfully. I guess she's just trying to be nice. Their only 12. But their Great Uncle Stanley isn't as cheerful or nice as the twins. After Y/N gave Dipper his book back, Stanley almost killed her! Luckily, I stood up and took on the challenger. Being the best boyfriend I could be! Well... She's the one trying to protect me. But that's on Ninja Buisness.
It doesn't change the fact that I love her, or that I need to protect her. It doesn't. But, that triangle. Bill. I wonder if he's connected to Dipper and Mabel... "Uh... Dipper?" I say, feeling a little awkward. He turns his brown eyes towards me. "You wouldn't happen to know anyone named... Bill Cipher?"
The excitement flittered away from Dipper's eyes and was replaced by anger and fear.
"What has he told you? Where did you see him?" Dipper didn't answer me. It was Stanley's twin brother, Stanford, who'd asked the questions. I was so overwhelmed with the outburst, I just wanted to shrink.
"I... I saw him in one of my dreams once," I admitted. Y/N's eyes got huge and she grabbed my hand and squeezed it lightly.
"Did he try to make a deal with you?" Ford asked seriously. I shook my head.
"Did he offer you something unbelievable, like gold?"
"Nope. There's nothing he said... except he wanted the journal," I said, glancing over towards the book Dipper held in his hands. Dipper held it tightly to his chest, as if to protect it from some invisible being. I felt a small prickle of uneasiness in my spine. I stood up from where I'd been sitting and dusted off my jacket, trying to ease my unrest a little. "Well, it's getting late. I think you kids should go home now. But be careful on the way there. Things hide in the night," Ford warns. We nod our heads and I help Y/N up to her feet.
"Can we come back tomorrow?" Y/N asks before leaving. Dipper smiles and looks at Ford and Stanley. They both nod and we walk out of that place. I think I had better take his advice.Y/N's POV:
There's nothing to talk about in the starry night. The transparent clouds of our breath is like a mask that covers the sparkling snow with mist. I keep feeling like I've got the journal in my hands. But it's not there. "So...," I say, breaking the silence. Randy seems lost in thought, but escapes from it and stares at me with his blue eyes. I look for words to say, but nothing comes to mind. Suddenly, I hear a scream.
It's a girl's, but... it doesn't sound like she would be alive anymore. Randy stops, his eyes narrowed at the city lights that block out most of the moons light. I blink, seeing a powerful beast is in front of us. I gasp, the cold air stinging my lungs. Laser, aqua blue eyes flick towards Randy and me before Randy pushes me into the bushes. He follows and pulls his arms around me.
All I can feel is Fear. The worst kind of it, too. The bitter taste on your tongue, the moment when your eyelids feel tired of being shut so tight. I try to breathe lightly, but I can hear the pounding of my heart in my ears. I hear heavy, crushing steps shake past Randy and I. Randy is almost silent. How can he stay so calm?! I think but my thoughts are silenced when the monster moves on. After a few minutes, I creep out from under the bushes. I feel myself start to feel sick. The redness of my cheeks turn pure white and I turn around and double over, holding my stomach and wanting to throw up.
I take in some sharp breathes and feel the urge to loose my cheese ease away. After a couple of minutes, my gaze flicks back to Randy who's face is filled with fear. "We gotta get out of here," he whispers. We share a brief nod and start to walk as quietly as possible. Soon, we come to a mangled body on the ground. Deep red blood chains link into the snow, frozen. I can't help but stop and look at it. The girl's hair is a silvery, blonde and her minty green eyes are open and rolled back into her head. "Dead," I whisper, half to myself before looking away. "Yeah, we really need to get out of here!" Randy whispers back. We start to run. And No one follows us.
