Chapter Eight

So last night was interesting.... Im not even sure what me and Robert are anymore... Im still technically with Jason, even though im pretty sure he cheated. Hes been calling me, but i dont have the guts to answer. Addison doesnt know what happened, but shes been trying to get it out of me because she knows somethings up.
Im walking Axel, like usual. I actually havent seen Frank in forever.... Thats weird. I wonder if somethings up. Im walking around the corner and Axel bumps into someone, then i realize its Frank! But, wheres Butterscotch? "Frank! I havent seen you in awhile, how are you? Also im sorry Axel ran into you..."
"Its okay, and im okay, i guess...." I give him a confused look.
"You guess? Whats going on?"
"Theres a reason why you havent seen me in awhile..."
"What is the reason? If you dont mind me asking..." He starts sobbing out of nowhere. Axel starts nudging his leg to show support.
"Frank?"
"Its Butterscotch.... S-shes g-g-gone...." He stutters out as he sobs. I feel bad, she wasnt that old for a dog. Its hard losing your best friend....
"Oh my god.... Frank, im... Im so sorry...."
"Thanks..." He tries to pull himself together, he starts petting Axel. "It happened so suddenly.... I didnt want to go out after, but i brought myself to it today..." He pauses, smiling weakly at Axel as he continues to pet him. "How are you lately?"
"Well, im avoiding my so called boyfriend at the moment...."
"Why? Did he hurt you? If he did, i can help you out..." I chuckle weakly.
"He didnt really hurt me that much, just i think hes cheating on me with someones wife..." He stands up quickly, he looks like hes about to call a search party...
"Whos wife!? And where is that son of a bitch!?" Holy shit, ive never seen this part of him before, im a little intimidated just being around him. Im not even the victim!
"Roberts wife.... Yes Robert knows and i dont know where Jason i-" i just then get cut off by a voice behind me.
"Reagan?" It was soft, i knew exactly who it was, especially since Franks jaw clenched and his fists balled up. I slowly turn to face him, his face has confusion written all over it.
"Jason..." I say a little coldly. In a second, i see Frank right by my side, about to attack Jason.
"Why havent you been answering my calls? Ive been trying to get ahold of you..."
"This is bullshit right? Your kidding me, right?" Frank spits out at Jason. I grab his shoulder and push him back a little.
"What is he talking about, Reagan?" Jason asks, confused still.
"Your with Susan, arent you?" I ask softly. His eyes widen in surprise.
"What!? Are you crazy? Im not with her! What makes you think that!?" He asks, defensively.
"That night, me and Robert called both of you, we figured out you two were together that night. You said you had work... That was NOT work!"
"Reagan, it was just dinner with a friend! I swear, nothing happened!"
"Bullshit..." Frank muttered under his breath. I still kept him back.
"Its not bullshit, im telling the truth, ask Susan!" He begs.
"Maybe i will..." I say and walk away, Frank giving Jason a last dirty look, then following me.
I return home and dial Susans number. It rings a couple times before she picks up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Susan. Can i ask you a question quick?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Well, before my question, hows Robert?" Then i hear her start to cry.
"He... He is mad at me..." Oh no, what if they didnt cheat?
"Why?" I ask, trying to play dumb.
"He thinks i like Jason.... He thinks i cheated on him and Jason cheated on you! But its not true, we are just friends!" She says as she cries. Ive made a mistake... Me and Robert made a huge mistake.... I feel terrible for not trusting Jason. I feel terrible for kissing Robert when im with Jason.... I decide something then and there.

Me and Robert have to make this right again.
