I looked at the Giant lake that we drove by. Sure, it is cool, but it doesn't compare to California.

Dad got a new job, so now we have to move. I decided to upload something to social media, so my friends can see what I have to go through.

I took a picture of myself with the lake we drive by in the background, after I took the picture, for a second as I looked into the phone screen, I could've sworn I saw a red glint in my brown eyes.

I shook it off, it was probably nothing. I brushed my red hair out of my eyes, and posted the picture. Soon, I got comments from people of my old school, Bridgeport High School.

Pamdagurl254(aka Pam): Ugh, wish I was there! I would make your trip totes less boring!😜

Junie95(June): Feel bad for you! Must be so boring, with bad cell phone reception!😬

I laughed at my friends comments and replied.

KatCass12(me): Yeah, this would all be better if I was still at home. Miss you guys!

I sighed and looked back out the window, it was a small town of nothing. I looked at my faint reflection in the glass. I was a pretty girl, as everyone at Bridgeport said.

I didn't see it. I pulled my hat down more, and puffed upward to get a red lock out of my face.

We pulled up to our new house. It was quite big for just the three of us, my mom, dad, and I.

I got out of the car and pulled out my bass guitar and suitcase, walking up to the dark green house.

Mom opened up the door and said, "Welcome home!"

I gasped at the quite large room, and immediately ran up the stairs to find which room I wanted to be mine.

I found the perfect one in seconds. It was dark red. I was always attracted to that color, I don't know why. I slowly walked in, to find a dresser and nicely made bed already there.

The bed sheets were red, black, with some maroon accents. The pillows were black.

The room did give off a darker aura, but I liked it. I was always a dark person.

I layed on the bed, now strumming my bass.

"Hey honey, get some rest. School starts tomorrow," Mom popped into the room.

I looked outside, it was dark. I looked at the clock on the wall. 8:30.

"Ok," I said, putting John, my bass, back into his case, closing it up for the night.

I changed into my pajamas, which consisted of a sleeveless crop top and sweat-like pajama bottoms, and snuggled under the sheets.

______the next day at school_____

"Class, we have a new student! This is Cassidy Flamewood. She is from Califorina!" The teacher ushered me to stand up.

I stood up and walked  to the front of the room, my ponytail waving behind me.

"Please, Cassidy, tell us about yourself!" I turned and looked at the class.

"My name is Cassidy Flamewood, and I'm a California native. My favorite color is red and my family is full of technology, we are very smart." I mumble the last part, because I don't like to brag.

"Alright, you can sit down, Cassidy," I walked to my desk and sat down.

After class, a girl with dark brown and curly hair approached me.

"Hi, I'm Kamerblynn. I hear you're new?" She held out her hand, which I shook it.

"Cassidy, can I just call you Kamer?" I smiled.

"Sure," she smiled back.

As I started walking to class, she got out her phone and dialed something.

"Hey Dad, yeah, she's the one. She's the flame princess, she is the one," I turned when she said something about me being the one.

What is she talking about.

I'm a normal girl, right?
