A week past of us wearing my the necklaces, which became what the Carters and Quinn calling the "friendship necklaces".

We were all walking to our rides home when Everly said, "We need to learn how to control our powers, you know, if we need them."

"Oh, yeah!" Kamer said.

"We could practice at my kingdom, there is a lot of open space," Ever suggested.

"Sweet, let me go tell my driver and then we can head out," I ran over to Olivia, told her I will be with my friends, and headed out with Ever, Kamer, and Quinn.

When we arrived at the earth kingdom, it was just what I imagined. Greenery was everywhere, not to mention a giant forest surrounding a tall castle, which I guess is Everly's house.

"Come on, we can practice in this abandoned building in the middle of the forest, it's big enough and sturdy!" Everly says, beckoning us into the forest.

We all follow, minutes later finding ourselves what seems to be lost.

"I'm pretty sure we are lost," Kamer says.

"Come on! Have some fath in your friend, I mean we aren't lost! Right?" Quinn soon gave Everly a worried glance after she smiled at Kamer.

"We aren't lost, guys. It's just north of where we are now," Ever led us to the right.

"How do you know this is north?!" Quinn exclaimed.

"Trust me!"

We soon made it to a giant structure of stone. It looked like a church.

"Here we are, we can start training now!" Everly stated.

"All right!" Quinn soon ran into the building and we soon saw a blinding white light.

We run in to see if Quinn was alright. She was. She was in the middle of the empty one room building spinning in circles, causing blinding rays of her magic to swirl around her. She soon stopped and fell to the ground, laughing out of what I hope to be pure joy.

"Quinn! This is no time to be fooling around!" Kamer helped her up and dragged her over to us.

"So, how do we practice our powers, I mean, who do we know that also has our powers?" I asked.

"Oooo! For once the great and wise Ever didn't plan everything out!" Quinn pointed at an unamused Everly.

"Shut up!" Everly scowled at the strawberry blonde teen.

We talked it out and we soon found it would just be best to just to find new ways to use our magic. We separated to each corner of the church.

Kamer was the first to try something, with some random, exaggerated movements with her arms. Most were circular, she soon bringing her hands together, shooting a strong blue stream from her hands, with water swirling around it. I heard Quinn shriek, because she was on the opposite side of Kamer.

Quinn ducked, narrowly missing being hit with the stream.

"AWESOME!" Kamer yelled, fist pumping.

"I wonder if that works for all of us," Everly thought out loud, then doing the same thing Kamer did.

A green stream of light came out of her palms with vines circling around it. I gasped as it came right at me, and ducked.

Quinn was the next to try. She shot a blinding whit light(we had to look away at first) with air swirling quickly around it in a light gray color. Kamer was prepared for it and ducked before hand, since she was also looking away from the light.

Then, I tried. You can do it better than these losers. You can also kill them. Your choice. This wasn't my thought. Where did it come from? I shook it off and waved around my hands, soon shooting a red line of magic, with fire and lava swirling around it, heading towards Ever.

After it fired they all stared at me, Quinn with a scowl on her face.

"Why do you look so mad?" I spat at her.

"Because it was more awesome than mine!" She whined, pouting.

I sighed.

"Why don't we take a break?" Everly suggested while Quinn and I shot death glares at eachother.

We walked through the forest to the tall castle towering over everything. We walked up some steep stairs to a single doorway. Ever opened it and it lead into a pink, purple, and red room. The walls were red, with purple bedding, and a pink rug.

"It's a bit girly don't you think?" Quinn pointed out.

"Shut up, don't talk you're just lowering the IQ of the whole room," I spat at her. Why did I say that? I like Quinn!

I knew that Quinn hide her sorrow well, but I couldn't help but notice a hurt look in her eyes.

"Whatever pyro-brain" she scoffed.

Ugh, that wasn't supposed to happen! She was supposed to lose her cool! That voice said in my head. I shrugged and looked around the room.

Anime posters were on one wall, on the other was a with a window bench, with black and purple pillows on the red mat on it. Next to the door was a bookshelf, with manga and some other books on it. On the other side was a bathroom with a walk in closet in it. The one wall I haven't described had the bed.

I sat on the window bench, while Quinn bellyflopped on the bed. Everly sat on the bed and Kamer layed on the floor.

"Kamer, Quinn, Cass. Have you heard of the Dark and Light kingdoms?" Everly spoke up after a minute of silence.

"I have heard of them, but haven't learned about them," Kamer replied,

"After our little cool magic thing in the dungeons with the light and dark swirling upwards, I decided to look it up in our library. It turns out the dark kingdom destroyed the ice kingdom. The light kingdom is trying to destroy the dark kingdom from anymore harm it might do. They are both run by un-known rulers. Rumor is the dark kingdom's King is insane. He wants to kill every kingdom, become the ruler of everything. He also has cut off his own hand, which he replaced with a powerful metal one. The light ruler is all powerful, humble woman. That's all we know about her. She doesn't have as much on her as the king," Ever started rambling about all this knowledge.

"The King likes to play with minds, also. Making them say things they don't want to say, think things they don't think. He is extremely powerful." Then it clicked.

Get out of my head. I thought, wondering if that would work.

Why? I like it here, roomie. Room for the dark to spread through it. Make room. The Dark King is your new room mate!

What?! Get OUT!   Silence.

"I um, need to get home. Bye guys," I stuttered and quickly left and down the stairs.

"Wait!" I turn and see Kamer.

"Hey," I mumbled.

"Can I come with you?" I smiled and nodded.

We talked more about what else we can do with our powers, but while talking, my mind was elsewhere.
