When we arrived in the air kingdom, well, it was a bit bright. The sun shined through puffy white clouds. I looked down and gulped, there was a bottomless pit right underneath us. Kamer must of saw my fear and whispered into my ear.
"Don't worry, you won't fall, they put a spell on the city so you can't fall, well you can, but unless you are extremely dumb, you should be fine,"
The car stopped and I saw a bunch of buildings. We must be in the kingdoms town, I thought.
Quinn hopped out of the car and we followed close behind, not wanting to lose the hyper girl.
She skipped through the town as we walked behind her, every once and while we got a "hello" or "good day".
"Everyone here is so kind," I whispered to Kamer.
"Yeah, they all kind of are different shades of Quinn, which means some are extremely fun while others are fun but more mature," she whispered back.
Soon, we all ran into someone, I was fell on Kamer and Everly fell on me.
We looked up to see a giggling Quinn. Kamer shoved us off of her.
"Why did you stop?" Kamer asked.
"Because I we reached the edge of the town, now we have to take on of our flying boats to the castle, where I live. Also, I wanted to see if you would fall when I stopped," she laughed at the end and pushed her glasses up a bit more.
She turned around and waved her hands frantically.
"What are you doing, having a seizure?!" I stopped her.
"What? No, I'm calling a boat!" She smiled at me then pushed me behind her and started waving frantically again.
Everly soon stood up and put Quinn's hands down. "They will come, that's not going to make them come any faster."
At these words Quin gave up and put her hand in her pocket and pulled out four peices of gum.
"Is that for us?" Everly asked.
"Um... Um, no!" Quinn quickly shoved all of it in her mouth.
Just as she did that, a boat arrived. Quinn grabbed Everly and dragged her on the boat. Kamer and I followed behind.
The boat started towards a castle on a floating island with water running down the sides, in the middle was a pretty, white castle.
When we came to the island dock, I got off first and then Kamer, Everly, and Quinn.
"Ok, come with me, I will get some snacks then we can head to my room," Quinn took off up some stairs and around a swirly ramp going up to the main door.
She opened up the two big doors and skipped into the main room.
"Ok, now what?" I asked.
"Now, snacks!" She exclaimed and held one finger up and ran to a door in the right corner by the thrones.
She opened it and started down the stairs, the thumps of her feet echoing around the room. We soon followed her down the stair way, it wasn't cold, but it was dimly lit.
After going all the way down, we reached a beige kitchen with cooks in it, probably working on dinner.
We spotted the strawberry blonde by a pantry, throwing random things out of it as she goes. Kamer walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Oh! Hey Kamer!" She turned and smiled.
"What are you doing?"
"Grabbing snacks," Quinn turned around and put some in her mouth and the others under her arms.
She went to a fridge and grabbed some sodas, which she held in her hands.
"Come on!" Her voice was muffled from the bags in her mouth.
She walked up the stairs and out the door. She turned left and stood by a door. She looked at us expectedly.
"Oh!" I realized what she wanted. I walked up to the door and opened it for her.
She closed her eyes and tried to smile, but with no avail. She started up the stairs, which were spiral, just like mine. At the top she ran down the hall and looked at a door, then at us.
Kamer ran up to her and opened it. She walked in and Kamer followed behind. We all soon followed and I looked around her room. It was beige, with posters of sci-if movies, video games, and rock bands. Her bed was a sky blue with a bunch of pillows. There was a TV in front of the bed and a couch on the farthest wall, above it was a window, looking over the whole town.
I looked at Quinn, who went over to her bed and spat out the bags and dropped everything else, except the sodas, which she held so they wouldn't explode when she opened them.
She handed me an orange soda. "Thanks," I said.
She smiled and handed a brown one to Kamer, and a clear one to Ever. She took a brown one and opened it. She drank some, then set it down and looked at us.
"What are you waiting for? An invitation? Grab some food! I don't care!" She held her hand out and showed the food.
Kamer shrugged at me then went to grab some. Soon, we were all talking about teachers and how to make them happy.
"If you tell Mrs. Adams her hair looks nice once a week, she will give you a better grade on a test," Kamer said.
"If you give Mr. Porter and apple a month he won't call on you as often," Ever said, grabbing more chips.
We all laughed and joked around. Which all started when Quinn made a hilarious impression of Mr. Porter.
I took another bite of my apple as Kamer talked about how stern our first period teacher, Mrs. Kent, is.
"She once told me to sit up straighter, when I was already sitting up straight!" Quinn exclaimed.
"That's a lie, I remember that day, you were slouching big time," Ever said.
Quinn just rolled her eyes and we all laughed. A lot of me said that these are my new friends, but a tiny bit of me said that I shouldn't trust these people...
