~~~Quinn's POV~~~
I had been walking for hours, I had reached what seemed to be a river, it was dark and kind of spooky. I like it.
I saw a broken down sign hanging from its post next to a broken bridge.
I tilted my head trying to read then realized I looked stupid and just held the sign up straight.
'The River of Past. This river holds the past of however wants to cross, to reach the other end and into the Ice Kingdom you must look into the river and re-live your past.'
"Ok that can't be that bad!" I approached the river and heard whispers of conversations.
I crouched down and looked into the water. Soon, I was sucked into it.
I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I was back in my home castle, there I saw a little baby sleeping soundly.
I smiled and went to touch the baby's face.
"Quinn~" I heard someone say in a happy way.
I retracted my arm and turned around, to see a younger version of my mother.
"How is my little angel?" She picked up the baby.
The baby giggled, I started noticing features of the baby I didn't see before.
Strawberry blonde hair. Eyes that had a twinkle in them.
This baby was me.
After a minute a darkness took over the room, I turn to see Lucas appear.
"Mother, remember what I said!" He scowled.
I watched them argue but all I could see was my brother younger, he still had a bit of a happiness to his eyes.
Gray smoke rose around me, and I noticed I was now 10, surrounded by what seemed to be my friends at school.
They were all laughing, doing each other's hair and enjoying themselves at recess.
I saw myself, with shorter hair than the girls, a chubbier face and glasses, the other girls long luscious blonde hair and perfect skin, perfect face in general.
"Hey guys, can I join in?" 10 year old me asked, a smile frowning on her face as she stood up from the rock she was sitting on.
They all stared at her in disgust.
"Ew, no! They only we hang out with you is because you're a princess!" One girl stepped out, she had pink highlights in her hair and light, blonde, long hair, and teal eyes.
Younger me started to tear up, so did I. I wanted to kill this girl, I wanted to kill myself. I started to bawl like 10 year old me.
Soon, an older girl came, she had short light blonde hair, teal eyes, and she wore a dress, she looked really familiar.
"Come on, darling, let's head home, bye snobby princess, have fun in your stuck up castle! Bye girls! See you tomorrow for the sleepover, except you princess..." She said, taking the girl who was rude to 10 year old me away.
"Bye Melody!" The girls said.
Melody?
I gasped as I found myself back at the side of the river, with red, puffy eyes.
How did I never know about this past? Why did I think I had a happy childhood. I cried on the side thinking about how I thought she was my friend, how she was there for me, but then she was a jerk to me and had a sister who bullied me?
Did I have such a bad past someone blocked it and filled it with fake memories? Why does this plot sound familiar?
Why am I such a cliché person?
My tears went into the river and soon a bridge appeared. I sniffled and walked up to the bridge, and slowly walked across it, looking down on the river.
Images from my past started to play again, different, but all just as horrible.
I coughed a bit and cried some more, but continued on.
Then I reached it, the gates to the Ice Kingdom.
