Hayden P.O.V

I got up, hearing my friends down stairs, arguing about who gets the plate of bacon. I rolled my eyes at how idiotic that was as I jumped into the shower and grabbed some clothes on. I then felt hands go around my waste from the back and smiled at myself. My wolf growled at the touch but I simply ignored it. He’s been so irritating lately, ever since we transferred to East High. I don’t know what was up with him, because he wouldn’t tell me, and so I went with my gut and left him alone. But I did get to have fun last night.

Girl: hey baby

I heard from my ear as I turned to the blond wearing my shirt that only fell after her butt.

H: hey babe

She smiled and wrapped her arms around me as I wrapped mines to her waste. We’ve been going out for 2 months and even though she wasn’t my mate, I was in love with her.  Her name was Brittany and she had curves in the right places. I was proud to have her while my wolf hated her. Sure she screwed around with some other guys but I don’t care, shit happens.

Brittany: did you have fun last night than I did?

She kissed my neck as I chuckled. My hands sliding down to her butt, giving it a squeeze, she started sucking my neck as I let out a moan. Why couldn’t she be my mate?

H: oh I had fun

I kissed her quick, as she went to the bathroom to get dressed. I opened the door to let the smell of eggs and bacon hit my nose. I slid on the rail downstairs and saw some of my fellow pack members. Well they are my best friends but whatever; I am the Alpha of the strongest pack in history. I have Jake my beta, third command in his twin brother Austin. Don’t get them confused, I even had to like mark one of them permanently to tell who’s who. They hate it if you called them by the wrong names. Then there’s Seth who’s also like a 4th command but he’s a really good fighter. He trains with the fighters in our pack so we can catch rouges, lounging in our territory. We don’t really go into human territory unless it’s urgent, we protect them in hiding. So they don’t know that they have wolves running around on the top hill of the forests, so we’re all good.

Jake: morning sleepy head

Austin: had fun last night?

He wiggled his eyebrows as I rolled my eyes at him.

H: whatever

I scarfed down my breakfast as hands rubbed my chest from behind.

Brittany: see you at school baby

H: k love

She kissed me quick and left. Seth gave me a disgusting and disapproving face. I glared at him

Seth: I don’t get you man, she’s a whore

I got up and got to him in an instant

H: she’s not a whore

I said in my Alpha tone. He looked down and slammed my fist on the counter

H: I hate doing this to you, Seth, but leave her alone

Seth: just saying, you should be waiting for your mate. Not screwing around with the pack members!

He yelled at me as he stormed out. I wouldn’t allow it but I let it go as we all got ready for school. I park my black BMW as I made my way inside school, feeling the lust from girls everywhere. I know I have to wait for my mate, but I’m done looking. It’s been rough and I found Brittany so I’m pretty much good. She’ll be perfect for the new l…

I sniffed the air as I rounded the corner to meet my friends.

H: hey do you guys smell that

They whiffed at the air and frowned.

Austin: no, what does it smell like?

I whiffed the air and the vanilla and strawberry hit me really hard. My wolf howled as I tried to find the source of where it came from.

Jake: dude, you ok?

H: it smells like vanilla and strawberries

Seth: Okie, you’re weird

“Go find where it’s coming from”

Hayden “what’s your problem”

“It’s our mate”

I froze and everything went still. My mate? I found my mate and it isn’t Brittany? I felt everything spin, but caught myself on the wall. Now I was looking everywhere, trying to find the girl. But I couldn’t, everybody was in the way of everything.

Hayden “Looks like I have to find her later”

The bell rang telling us to go to homeroom. I walked with Seth and boy did he look like he wanted to say something. As I walked by, some members bowed their heads toward me; singling them their respects. I smiled and nodded in union, as we both sat down in our seats.

H: alright dude, spit it out. It looks like there’s something biting your ass

Seth looked at me and then looked down.

Seth: I’m sorry how I acted earlier this morning. It’s just that, you should be looking for your mate instead of fooling around

I nodded, understanding him. He lost his mate during a war and he was like a dead man, walking around campus. I would usually find him in there room, holding a picture of her, and having tears stain his face. I felt really bad for him and so I smiled at him

H: well I kind of did find my mate

Seth head shot up fast and he was all excited

Seth: well who is it?

H: I don’t know I just smelt this exquisite smell roaming around. It was a very attractive smell

Seth: so that’s why you asked us about the smell

H: yea

Seth: don’t worry man, we’ll find her

H: thx

The bell rang again, telling us to get the fuck out and go to class. I was on my way when I heard Jake

Jake: Hayden, go long

He threw a football, headed my way but a little bit too far. I ran to retrieve it, when it hit a small girl, knocking her stuff down. I came towards, about to prepare to tell her that it was my buddies fault, when I caught the scent. It was strong and it was coming from her. Once I was close enough to her, she looked at me with those soft golden honey eyes. My heart stopped as everything went into a blur as it was just her and me. My wolf howled in happiness as I took in this beautiful creature. She was 2ft shorter than me, brown long hair with red highlights in them, she was wearing a shirt that said “Stop, don’t touch”.  I chuckled at the shirt but I couldn’t tear my eyes away from her. She seemed to fiddle with her fingers and she finally broke the gaze. I just realized I was staring at her like an idiot, instead of picking up her books. So I bent down quickly, helping her gather her stuff, and then meeting her at the top.

H: sorry about that

M: it’s uh f-fine

She frowned as I made sure my hand brushed hers. Once it did, I felt the sparks fly through my body as she gasped, nearly dropping her stuff again. I chuckled at her nervousness, gasping every time something happens.
