My mate...Hayden...he's dead

I hung up as I pulled my knees up to my chest. I cried silently until I heard the car pull up. I then heard the door open and feet running to me.

H: moriah

He sounded alarm as two strong arms wrapped around me

H: shh…baby I’m here

He picked up my head by my chin and he gasped. By now the bruise on my eyes, should have formed and the bleeding from my lip had stopped. Hayden’s eyes turn black as I heard him growling in response

H: who did this to you?

He started shaking and I knew I had to get him out of here

M: Hayden, plz, gets inside the car

I tried to get him moving to the car, but he wouldn’t budge.

M: Hayden

I felt the tears rolling down my cheek, aware that any moment he’s going to shift. But he grabbed my shoulders and looked at me with the black eyes.

H: no body hurts my mate. Now who did this to you?

Hayden wasn’t here anymore, his wolf had taken over

M: I’ll tell you, but we gotta go inside the car and get away from here

He nodded; his jaw set as he grabbed my hand and towed me to the car. I got in and so did, pressing on the gas. We got on the street, but he was going to fast

M: Hayden, you got to gain control back

His fists were white for holding the steering wheel to tight. I gently put my hand on his shoulder as he stop along the side of the road. He took deep breaths as I rubbed his arm. He looked at me and I saw the brown eyes we’re back.

H: moriah, come here

He picked me up gently and put me on his lap. He tried to kiss me but I turned away. He growled lowly and his grip got a little tight

H: Moriah I need to know who did this to you

M: you don’t know them

I whispered, looking down at the gas pedals. His finger lifted my head up from my chin and he stared into my eyes.

H: I don’t care. Whoever did this to you, they’re going to pay. I mean, why didn’t Logan or…Aaron help out?

My jaw went ridged as I remember them just standing there. They wanted me to do it alone, to see what I learned.

M: they…exactly didn’t help me

I looked at him and his chest rumbled. He looked at the dash board

H: what time do they get out?

M: they should be home by now

His hand went into the ignition and the car roared to life. He signaled to get on the street and he sped away.

M: where are we going?

I frowned as the car zizz-zag through traffic
