Hayden P.O.V

I was happy that I got Moriah back and I didn’t have to be away from her anymore. We were driving silently up the hills to the village after two gruesome days. Aaron and I didn’t talk much because I was mostly with moriah, getting those weeks back from when I was supposedly “dead”. The only time Moriah was apart from me was when I was discussing battle strategies with my pack and Aaron. Or in the car were Moriah would be in the back seat

H: take a right

Aaron took a sharp right on the dirt road and I cursed lowly at him

H: jeez man why don’t you just drive us off the cliff?

Aaron growled at me and I growled back, my wolf, Zac, didn’t like to be growled at.

Aar: very funny Hayden

We both glared at each other, but I had to break it because Moriah stirred. I looked back and smiled, to see her still in one pieace and sleeping soundly

Aar: relax dude, I didn’t wake her up

I glared at him

H: I’m surprised you didn’t

Aar: I’m an excellent driver

H: yea says no one ever. The only thing your excellent at is pretending to be in love with my girlfriend

Aar: oh plz

Aaron looked back at moriah, but turned back to the road

Aar: that was not pretending

I clenched my jaw as my hands went into fists. Aaron notice and he started smirking

Aar: I wouldn’t do that if I were you

I smirked and raised my eyebrow

H: now why is that?

Aar: because I don’t think Moriah would ever forgive you for hurting me

I chuckled

H: she wouldn’t care if you killed yourself with your own gun

Aaron smiled and clicked his tongue

Aar: oh my dear friend, that’s where your wrong

My smirked was gone and now I was getting confused. Why Aaron smiling and what is he talking about?

H: what do you mean?

Aar: on come on, I thought you are good at this stuff

He looked at me, smiling as I stayed confused

H: um what?

Aar: man you are so blind, but I’ll soon tell you. When the time is right, moriah’s out of ear shot, and when you can’t break anything

I glared at him as I looked back at Moriah. Her eyebrows were furrowed together as she layed peacefully. I turned back to see the black gate coming up

H: stop here

Aar: alright

He pulled up as I jumped out, jogging to the gate to punch the code in. I jumped back in the car as the gate opened, letting us get in.
