Hayden's P.O.V-I made a mistake

Hayden’s P.O.V

I saw her run away from me, tears coming down my cheek. My wolf couldn’t let his mate cry but I restrained him.

H “it was for the best”

“I hope your right”

Later on I went to the game with Aden. He was close to shifting, so I had to get close to him as possible. Thing is though, it didn’t match up. Aden was a wolf but moriah was not.

Hayden: hey Aden, can I ask you something?

Aden: sure bro

Hayden: how come moriah doesn’t look like you at all?

He stiffened and gulped, I could tell something was wrong.

Aden: well um, you see Moriah’s adopted. But don’t tell her, she doesn’t know. She was left abounded on the side of the road when somebody found her. They took her to child services and since my mom wanted another child, and found out she couldn’t. My dad brang up adoption, I wasn’t ok with it at first but once we found moriah and she grabbed my finger, I felt this sudden power to protect her. So I insisted I wanted to bring her home and I was 5 at the time and moriah was like 3 turning 4. She wouldn’t remember, the thing is though, I hated her parents for living her there to die

 I frowned at this new information, so she really was special

Aden: I promised myself to always be the big brother that she’ll never have and so far, I’m doing pretty good

I smiled to myself as I saw the last play. They were tied and moriah was on fire, stealing the ball but then out of nowhere, this red head come and pushed her hard to the round. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t have a chance to blink. All I saw was Moriah on the ground, not getting up. My wolf howled in pain as he told me to move. But I didn’t, I was in pure shock

Aden: shit, MORIAH

Aden dashed towards her, sliding down next to her and to my relief, she got up. But she was holding her arm and I I finally realized, her arm was sprained badly. My wolf whined as she said something and then took the free shot. I was surprised at how strong she was as she made the shot. Everybody started going to her as I stayed put.

“This is the worst Idea you came up with”

H “it’s only to protect her, why can’t you understand”

He growled at me as I made my way down from the stands. I saw moriah leaving but she just had to look at me. My heart started beating really quick and I would have ruined my plan, when Brittany came to block my view. I had to do something, so I grabbed Brittany and smashed my lips on hers. She already was kissing back as I peeked to see Moriah crying, running after her brother.

“No, she hates us”

I ignored him as I grabbed Brittany’s hand and made our way home. She pushed me on the bed and one thing led to another.

I woke up to see Brittany naked and my clothes on the floor. My wolf wasn’t talking to me as I thought about what happened last night. After the game we were heading home when Jake told me Aden shifted. So I went after Aden and explained to him that he has to stay clear away from Moriah. That he can hurt her if he shifts and gives our secret away. He didn’t like hurting her but he got over it, deciding it was the best not to. I welcomed him to the pack and that he has to move in to the pack house.

I was at school when I smelt the scent, knowing she was coming. She was close

Hayden: Aden, she’s coming

Aden: I don’t want to do this anymore, I feel really bad. I’m breaking my promise

Hayden: you’ll get a chance later, but not know

He signed and put his game face on. He kind of over did it because once it was at the end of the day, she was nowhere insight

Aden: “at the house, moriah told on me. I can’t do this anymore. She’s crying”

I texted back

H: “just do it”

He had to break the ice about him moving out; I mean his parents our wolves, so that wouldn’t be a problem. I already felt bad for my mate, but I had to keep her safe. The way she looked at me helplessly, drove me crazy. All I wanted to do was holding her and apologize, but I couldn’t. I felt weak and not myself anymore, my wolf wasn’t talking to me anymore.

Aden: hey um, can I get my stuff

Hayden: I’ll get it

I quickly grabbed my keys and ran to my car, quickly to get to Aden’s house. I just wanted to cheat on my plan and see her. Touch her, maybe kiss her, I just wanted her. I drove to the house until I saw it coming into view. I stopped and saw only her car in the driveway. I got out and I suddenly felt nervous, as I walked up the steps and rang the doorbell. It took her 2 min to answer the door and she looked like a mess. My heart fell as I took in her appearance, her hair was in a messy bun, her eyes were blood shot red and puffy, and she had bags under her eyes from restless sleep. Once she saw me, I regretted coming up with the plan. She did something that I never thought she would do, she slammed the door in my face, and for once my wolf laughed at me.

“Thx, now she really hates us. You’re so pathetic”

I growled
