Hey, i didn't know the mysterious boy was taken

My P.O.V

I looked down, trying to figure out why he’s chuckling. But I then looked into his eyes again and I felt like the world was somehow gone.

H: names Hayden

He stuck out his hand and I shook it slightly. The sparks flew through my whole body as I let go of his hand. What the fuck is going on?

H: aren’t you going to tell me your name beautiful?

He smiled down at me sweetly and I felt like I was walking on air.

M: oh um

I totally forgot my name, how can I forget my own name? I frowned and stared at my feet.

H: I’m guessing your name’s moriah?

My head shot up and I looked at him bewilder

M: h-how’d you know?

I got to stop stuttering. He smiled and pointed to my notebook that had my name

H: your book

M: I knew that

He smirked and that’s when his little buddy came in. He had brown hair as he looped his shoulder around Hayden.

Boy: hey, sorry about that. I don’t know my own strength

Then I realized my head was throbbing

Boy: I didn’t hit you, did I?

M: just a lot

I rubbed my head and Hayden looked like he was about to murder him

H: I should have caught it, sorry about that. Do you want me to take you to the nurse? She’s great at fixing bumps and stuff

His face was turning red and he was stuttering, I couldn’t help but giggled at his confusion.

M: I know, I’ve been here since freshmen year

The bell rang, telling me I was late to class

M: I got a go

I waved goodbye and walked to my classroom. The teacher wasn’t there yet, so I was good. Once I sat down, Monica gave me a look.

M: what

I muttered under my breath

Monica: what took you so long?

M: uh I got lost

She glared at me real good, but I kept a straight face on, and actually paid attention to the teacher. I had so much homework to do, that when lunch came, I had like 3 tests to take. I slammed myself on the table, and put my head down.

M: uh I really hate school

I rubbed my head, where there was a bump from earlier. I then heard someone clear their throat and I looked up to meet a pair of brown eyes. I frowned and realized it was the guy form this morning.

M: um hi

H: hey, I was wondering if you we’re ok. It seems like you’re having a tough time

He seemed worried for some reason and right when I was about to answer, my brother comes in.

Aden: hey sis, oh hey Hayden. What are you doing here?

H: sis?

Aden: yea, Moriah’s my sister. The one I was talking about?

H: oh right

He smiled and Aden looked between us

Aden: how’d you guys met

M: his friend hit me with a football

Aden: oh my gosh, I wish I was there I could have video tape it

I glared at him as he smiled innocent at me. I rolled my eyes as Hayden was standing their awkwardly.

M: so Hayden

His eyes brightened up so fast, once I said his name. Deep inside of me, I felt appreciated that he seems too like it. What is wrong with me today? I think I’m coming down with something else.

M: what were you doing here again?

H: oh yea I was wondering if

Girl: baby

I jumped a little as a blonde girl came by to Hayden’s side and wrapped her arms around his waist. I didn’t like that for some reason and I wanted to rip her hands off of him. I then looked at her to be the Queen bee of this school and my worst enemy. I glared at her as she gave me a nasty look.

Brittany: uh babe, what are you doing with this loser?

My fists tightened as my brother mumbled something under his breath.

Aden: get lost Brittany, nobody wants you here

I looked over to my brother to give him a “thank you” look. He nodded as he glared at the blonde.

Brittany: you don’t talk to me like that, you ass whole

I got up in one swift moment, getting in her face

M: don’t you dare talk to my brother like that

Brittany: like you’re going to do anything about it

H: Brittany, stop being so rude to her. Just go meet me at the table

She looked at him in surprised as I hid my victory smirk.

Brittany: but Haydy

He cringed at the nickname

H: NOW

She huffed in disappointment and stomped away. Hayden looked at me and gave me apologetic smile.

H: sorry about my uh girlfriend

My heart sank as he said those words. I don’t know why, but I felt like I just got rejected for some reason.

M: um, it’s ok

Aden: you should probably go, before she comes back

H: alright. See you later Moriah

I turned back to face my brother who was glaring at Hayden.

M: hey, what’s wrong?

Aden: I just don’t like that guy. You should stay away from him, sis

I frowned but nodded agreeing. Besides he has Brittany, not that I cared

“Well of course you do. He’s totally into you”

I rolled my eyes as I looked at my lunch in disgust.

M: hey, I’ll see you later

My brother frowned and looked at my food

Aden: you haven’t even touched your food

M: I’m not hungry any more

Aden: alright, I have soccer after school, so we’re going to be here a little longer

M: k

I got up and dumped my food out, feeling eyes on me. I looked up to see Hayden, staring at me and then his girlfriend glaring. I wasn’t afraid of her, but I just didn’t want to start anything. I walked out of the lunch room and headed to my next class.
