Hayden P.O.V

It was all silent, my wolves waiting for my signal to attack. I had to get moriah out of here, before her father does something stupid. I didn’t care if he had a gun; my number one problem is Moriah being here. My wolf whined and growled, struggling to figure out a plan out of this. I saw Aaron look at me and then flickered to Moriah, giving me a look.

H “I don’t have a plan, if we move her, he might shoot”

Aar “god, why did she have to leave the fucking room”

For once I agreed with him. We weren’t expecting her father to attack this morning, but whatever; we had to get it out of the way anyway

M: dad plz, you don’t have to do this

Dad: shut up and don’t call me dad. I’m not your father, my children to disrespect their own kind. You should be ashamed of yourself; you shouldn’t even call yourself a Stone

That set me off, as I looked to see the hurt in Moriah’s eyes. I growled as I went too lunged at him. It happened so quick that I missed what happened. All I heard was a gun shot and it was pointing at me. I frowned and moved my limbs, but I didn’t feel anything. I looked at her father to see him frozen and in pure shock. I looked at Aaron to see what happened but I saw tears coming down his face. My heart stopped as I looked in his direction and saw Moriah on the floor, the bullet hole in her chest

H: NO

I fell on my knees, bringing her head in my lap.

H “ATTACK NOW”

That’s all it took to have the pack move forward. Wolves every angle attacked him, breaking limbs and blood flying everywhere.

H: baby

I said as she coughs out blood. NO, this can’t be happening

H: moriah

I croaked out as she groaned, moving her eyes to me. Her smile was small as she put her shaky hand on my cheek

M: Hayden, I…couldn’t…l-let him

H: shh

Tears sprang down my face as I leaned into her palm, taking it into my hand.

H: I love you so much, kitten

She giggled but started coughing, wincing in pain. I knew she wasn’t going to make it, I had to be strong
