Hayden P.O.V--Cain is going to pay

Hayden P.O.V

I saw her body went limp as I screamed her named

H: MORIAH

I heard them laugh as Cain threw her to me, like she was a rag doll. I saw red and my wolf howled in pain.

H: YOU MOTHER FUCKING BLOOD SUCKERS. WAIT UNTIL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU

They just laughed and I was knocked out cold.

I woke up, feeling the pain in the back of my head. I groaned and rubbed my head, until the memories flew back of what happened. I gasped as I looked for Moriah, my mate. Until I saw a body 20ft away from me, as I ran to her. I guess they got me out of the chains when I was knocked out. I pulled Moriah to me, laying her head on my lap as I cried silently. I promised her nothing would happen to her, but I broke it. I felt her heart stuttered lightly, she was slowly dying and I couldn’t do anything.

H: baby, I’m so sorry. I promised to protect you but I failed. I wanted this to be me instead of you, what an awful boyfriend I am. Especially when you said you loved me

I whispered and her heart stop and so did mine. My wolf howled in pain and so did I, I screamed her name and lashed out, punching walls, and just breaking anything near me. I finally heard the door open and that’s when I lost it. There first person that came through the door was Daniel and I lunged at him, shifting in the air. I gripped his throat and tore it out, leaving him frozen solid, and dead on the floor. The last thing I knew was my pack coming and sedating Cain. I passed out after that

I woke up and groaned, feeling the soft matrass under me. I felt a warm hand ran across my face and a soft angelic voice in my ear.

M: Hayden

I smiled as I opened my eyes to see the sun hitting on Moriah’s face, glinting off of her perfect pointy teeth. Wait what…

I sat up and came to face with red eyes. She smirked at me, her hair beautiful as ever, and her skin soft and smooth.

M: oh Hayden

I frowned

H: moriah, is that you

M: of course it is babe, who else it would be

H: you’re so different

M: well that’s what you get for believing in your trusty werewolf boyfriend

She said in disgust as I looked at her in shock

H: moriah I’m sorry I tried

M: oh bullshit Hayden, you didn’t try hard enough. You wanted to see me suffer uh; you wanted me out of the way so you and Brittany can be together forever

H: no

I whispered

M: you didn’t love me, if you really loved me you would have saved me. You could have saved me so I wouldn’t be like a vampire

H: NO

I woke up again, sweat pouring down my back as I looked around the room. I was in my room and it was night time.

H: it was just a dream

I jumped out, hearing footsteps coming by. Then a knock came upon my door and I opened it to see Aden and boy did he look tired. I frowned

H: hey, what’s up?

Aden: just checking up on you

H: well I’m fine but where’s moriah?

He winced as he looked down

“Zac: that can’t be good”

H: Aden, where is she?

I said through my teeth

Aden: she’s… I… come on

I followed him out the door and into the infirmary. My wolf practically howled once we entered her room. She was in a hospital bed, tubes coming out of her body from different directions, the heart monitor going rather slow

Aden: they said that she wouldn’t make. The venom has already spread through her body; it’s practically killing all her human organs and turning her…

He stopped and fell on his knees. I told him to get some rest and I pulled a chair to up to Moriah. I stroke her hair, which seemed to be dead dry, as I held her hand. I hissed at it because it was cold.

H: baby, I’m so… sorry

I couldn’t hold it in, I mourned for my mate, and now she was gone. She was one of those blood suckers and I couldn’t do anything about it

“Zac: what about…”

I ran to the underground prison, my fellow pack members greeting and letting me in. I saw Cain, locked up nice and tight, he wouldn’t be able to get out, since there was a lot of crap he couldn’t deal with. I opened the cell and he hissed at me, but I growled menacingly

H: you better give me answer to cure my mate before I kill you

He smiled weakly

Cain: so you’re little mate is turning into one of us, perfect

I growled so loud, I heard the birds fly away. I grabbed the cross and stocked up to him.

Cain: what are you doing? DON’T TOUCH ME WITH AT. AH

H: talk, NOW

Cain: ALRIGHT, JUST put that thing away

I threw it across the room

Cain: there’s an antidote, but I don’t know if it will work. It’s this little herb of rosy posy and you have to have human blood to mix with it

H: anything else

Cain: oh and you have to make her eat it all

H: that’s it

Cain: yup

I smirked and grabbed the cross and garlic and threw it at him. Watching him scream in pain as I walked out

H: when he’s done, burn him

I said to my guards as I alerted my pack to get the ingredients. Pretty soon, the nurse was in the room and feeding it to her. She was of course in a coma so she had to get through the tubes, to her veins.

Nurse: that’s everything, she’s starting to stir

I ran to Moriah’s side, watching in aww as her skin changed from pale to her regular skin color again. She started to feel warm and her hair was going soft. I smiled as I saw her eyes fluttered open and looked at me, with a weak smile on her face.
