Next day

I got up feeling the dry tears, stained on my face. I walked to the bathroom, to see I was a mess. I then took care of my needs, heading to school. Not bothering to eat, I was on my 5th day of not eating. I would occasionally get pains in my stomach, but I don’t get them anymore. I also lost 30 pounds, leaving me with 98lbs. My face was thinner than usual and you can see my rib cage a little more. I got to school, only to realize I was just sitting on my car. I blinked rapidly, trying to focus on my surroundings, but everything started to blur a little. I shook my head, walking towards the door, but the dizziness came back again. I almost fell, if it wasn’t for the person who was walking by me.

Seth: wow there, you ok Moriah?

I frowned but nodded weakly

M: sorry, I just lost my balance

Seth: do you need help walking to class?

M: no, I’m good. Thx though

 Seth: no prob

I then walked without falling, to my class. The day went by speedy quick and I was leaving lunch. Hayden even dare look at me and I hid my cuts with my black jacket. I just didn’t look up, well until Aden said something

Aden: you’re not eating again? What are you trying to do?

M: I’m just not hungry

Austin: yea like all the time

Monica: honey, you feeling alright. You looked a little green

M: I’m fine

That was a lie, because I’m been seeing little black dots that would blur my vision. But I would blink them away and I would be fine. I then felt something running down my arm. I frowned and looked down to see my arm bleeding. That’s why I was walking out from lunch and into the bathroom. I quickly took of my jacket and rinsed the blood away. I winced when the water made contact with my cuts but I kept strong. When I was done rinsing it, it still kept bleeding; I groaned as I swiped the paper towels and wrapped it around my wombs. I then put my jacket on and walked to biology. The one class I will dread for my whole semester. I held onto the walls, letting them guide me to the class. I notice that students were in the halls and I hurried down the hall. I stopped at the open door, to see Hayden already there. I took a step in and regretted it. I clinged to the door frame for support, closing my eyes as the dizziness went by.

H: hey you ok?

I opened them to see a worried Hayden.

M: um… yea… just a little tired

H: here, let me

He said softly as he grabbed my arm. I jumped pulling my arm back; ground my teeth so I won’t scream. He frowned as I just walked to the table, slamming myself down. I rubbed my arm softly and Hayden seemed to have that same expression.

H: look about last night

M: forget, you’re right. I should have told you. You have every right to be mad

H: what, no I don’t. I practically went inside your business and I’m sorry for that. Also I’m sorry for screaming at you

M: it’s cool

He smiled but then looked at my arm, I was still rubbing it

H: did I grip you that hard?

M: no it’s nothing

I then started to see the black dots. I shook my head as Hayden said something and I felt a surge of pain on my left arm.

H: moriah, why are there cuts in your arm

I was about to answer, but I was concentrating on the black dots. Why weren’t they going away?

H: moriah

M: uhh

I started to sway from side to side, feeling the dizziness coming back. I then felt myself falling, hearing the screams and Hayden shouting my name. Everything went black

Hayden P.O.V

Teacher: what happened?

Hayden: she passed out I think. She hasn’t been eating

The teacher called 911 as I held her close.

H: come on moriah, wake up

I then contacted her brother and Seth

H “your sister knocked out”

Aden “waits what?”

H “she passed out. I’m taking her to the hospital”

Seth “alright I’ll meet you there”

Aden “k”

I picked her up, but the police got her quickly. They took her away from me and put her on the stretcher.

Police: are you her Brother?

H: no boyfriend

Police: is there any way we can contact her parents?

Teacher: her parents left out on her. They’ve been gone for a week already

My heart thundered as I register what he just said. Moriah’s been home alone for a week and her parents just left her? Alone were my beautiful kitten was left un-protected while vampires lurked her backyard? My wolf growled as we followed the police man to the ambulance. They then took off, the sirens blasting above us. I held moriah’s hand, as I stared at her. I knew something was wrong, but I was just too angry.

H “I’m such a bad mate”

Seth “no you’re not, you’re really awesome. Moriah’s awesome to have you”

I then realized my thoughts were out but it felt good to hear it from Seth.

Nurse: her blood sugar is really low. Do you have any idea what she ate today?

H: she hasn’t been eating at school, during lunch

Nurse: well she needs food and she lost a lot of blood

My stomach stirred

H: will she be alright?

The nurse looked at me with a sincere face and for once, I just wished this day never happened. If I lose her, I don't know what I will do. I can't lost the number one thing that was meant for me.
