Final Shot

"Time flies too fast, bubbah." he started, "It's been a year since you left me but you know what, I can still feel that you are with me every single day. I promise to take good care of your heart so I can look after our children." then tears fell from his eyes, "I miss you so much, Kershia. I wish you were here to help me guide Yvonne and Rolfe."

A woman gave Von a quick pat on the back, "I know you're still hurting but you have to be strong for your children, Von."
Von smiled at her, "I will, mom. But please let me cry even just for today."
Therese nodded at him, "We'll be waiting for you in the car, kami muna bahala sa kambal." then she left him.

"Did your hear that?" Von asked her while touching her grave, "We have two adorable babies. Yes, they are twins! Yvonne looks exactly like you, she's beautiful." then he wiped his tears, "Ang daya mo naman kasi Kersh, di ba dapat ako yung unang mawawala dito? Nagpaka superhero ka kasi eh. Alam mo bang ang hirap magpalaki ng anak ng walang nanay? Ayoko naman maghanap ng iba kasi gusto ko ikaw lang kikilalanin nilang mommy at ayaw kong palitan ka dito sa puso ko."
"Von!" Pamela shouted to call his attention, "Let's go, we still need to bring the twins to the hospital."
"Coming!" he shouted back then he returned his attention on her grave, "Bubbah, I have to go now. I'll be back again next week. Happy Anniversary, Kersh! I miss and love you so much! Bye, Kersh."

While on their way to the hospital, Von's tears fell on his face as he remembers what happened the day he lost his wife.

Flashback

"Please save my wife and my child." that was his last words to Thomas before everything went black.

Von slowly opened his eyes when he heard loud noises around him and he felt that he was moving. As soon as he laid his eyes on his right side, he saw Kershia with blood all over her body. He was still breathing heavily.

"Please hold on, bubbah... Please don't leave me..." he murmured then he reached for her hand, "We will get through this, just hold on."
"Doc, please save my wife and my baby." he pleaded, "I am willing to pay millions of pesos just save them, please."
"Von, you have to calm down." the doctor replied, "You have to control your emotions, delikado na yung puso mo."
He heaved out a long and deep sigh, "Do everything that you can." then he cried silently.

While the doctors and nurses were attending to Von, he heard a flat line beside him. He freaked out and tried to move closer to his wife. The medical team couldn't stop him, they injected him a drug and he fell asleep.

"Where is my wife and my baby?" Von asked his mom as soon as he woke up, "Mom, don't give that look!"
"I'm so sorry, Von." Pamela said, her voice cracked, "She didn't make it."
"NOOOOOO!!!" Von cried, "NO, MOM! SHE CANNOT DIE. PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE JUST KIDDING. MOM PLEASE."
Pam hugged her son really tight, "Von, she's gone." she cupped his face, "But you have to be strong for your twins."
Von's brows furrowed, "What do you mean?"
Pam smiled at him, "You heard me, Von. Kershia may be gone but she left your angels with you. You have to be strong for them."
"Where are they?" Von asked, "I want to see my babies."
"They're in the nursery." Pam replied, "Just wait here, I'll ask the nurse the bring them here."

Even though he knows that their babies made it, Von still couldn't believe that his wife is already gone, everything happened too fast. Von's tears fell from his eyes as he waits for his children.
