Third Shot

Kershia was beyond surprised to see Thomas in Janine's house. She wasn't really expecting that it was him who wanted to see her.

"What are you doing here, Thomas?" Kershia asked, she sounded curious and annoyed at the same time.

"I came here to see you, Kershie." he responded quickly.

"Oh my god. Will you please stop that Kershie thing. So highschool!" Kershia replied, "You saw me already after the game, why do you have to be here?"

"I didn't get to talk to you earlier because Pessumal was with you. Kung maka bantay akala mo boyfriend mo eh."

Kershia shook her head in frustration, "Damn it, what a lame excuse!"

Janine gave her a pat on the back, "Chill, Kershia. Don't you think you should give each other a try? I mean, continue what you had in highschool." then she smiled sweetly.

"ARE YOU REALLY MY BEST FRIEND?!" Kershia said in disbelief, "You know how much I was hurt, how I cried every night and now you want us to have another shot. You're insane!"

Kershia walked out of Janine's house but she came back few seconds after.

"Oh, I almost forgot." she said then she showed the paperbag that she was holding, "Your best friend asked me to give this to you."

"Thanks. But why are you always with my best friend?" Janine asked.

"You are his best friend but you're always not there whenever he needs a friend and it just so happen that I am always there. As your girl best friend, I'm doing you a favor. Being there for your guy best friend when you can't be there for him. You should be thankful kasi hindi ka parin niya pinagpapalit."

Janine smirked, "No matter how hard you try you can never replace my position in Von's life."

"I've always wanted to be in your shoe because you have a best friend who cares so much about you and yet you take him for granted. And yeah, you're right I can never ever replace you in Von's life because like you said, no matter how hard I try it will always be you. Only you."

"Wait girls!" Thomas interrupted, "Why are you fighting over Von?!"

"Kasi inaagaw niya si Von sa'kin!" Janine answered angrily.

Kershia laughed sarcastically, "Really Janine?! Wala akong inaagaw sa'yo! Tinutulungan pa nga kita sa best friend mo eh! Alam natin pareho na gusto mo si Von tapos ngayon na nagpaparamdam na si Von ng feelings niya sa'yo saka ka magiinarte ng ganyan, may pa Mikko Mikko ka pa. Sige, saang parte ko dun inagaw sa'yo si Von? Kung tutuusin I can just throw that food away and just tell him that you threw it."

"Baka naman may gusto ka rin kasi kay Von, Kershie?" Thomas butted in.

Kershia shifted her gaze at Thomas, "Shut up Thomas you know nothing in this issue!" then she walked out of Janine's house.

Kershia was crying while dialing Von's number. She knows that he is not the right person to call in this situation but he is the only person that she has right now.

"Von please pick up your phone..." Kershia mentally said.

She dialed again his number and on the 8th ring he picked up his phone.

"Hello Kershia! She read the note na?" Von answered her call happily.

"I-I don't k-know." and her voice cracked up.

"Are you crying, Kershia? What happened? Where are you?!" Von asked worriedly.

"I don't know where I am." she answered, "I walked few blocks away from Janine's house. Von, I'm so sorry."
