Final Shot

Fourteenth Shot

Kershia woke up at exactly 5 in the morning, she's excited for her first day of school of second semester. Yes, it's a brand new semester, new set of professors and of course, new classmates.

After prepping up for school, Kershia headed to the dining room to have her breakfast with her parents.

"How are you and Von?" Therese asked her daughter.

Kershia stopped eating for a while, "Are you going to ask me that everyday, mom?"

"Yes, I will." Therese answered quickly, "Because according to Pam, Von told her that you guys are okay. Ano ba talaga?"

Kershia heaved out a deep sigh, "We're not okay nga, mom. Have you seen him visiting me here for the past week? No, right?"

"If you two are not okay, why is he telling Pam that you guys are okay?" Therese asked, confused, "He always go on a date pa nga daw."

Kershia shrugged, "I don't know. You won't see Von around, you'll get used to it. Forget it, mom."

"Everything will be okay soon." Therese replied then they both continued having their breakfast.

As soon as she finished her breakfast, Kershia bid goodbye to her parents then she headed to the garage and asked their driver to drive her to school.

"Hindi ka na susunduin ni Von, hija?" Mang Roger asked her.

She shook her head, "Nope, ikaw na po maghahatid sa'kin sa school everyday, Mang Roger."

He did not ask her more questions, he just nodded at her and drove Kershia to school.

"Good morning, Kershia!" Bianca greeted her when she came into the room.

"Good morning, Bianky!" Kershia greeted her back then she sat beside her.

"Are they still dating?" one of their classmates asked their another classmate, "I mean that girl and Von."

Bianca looked back and raised her eyebrow, "Hindi ka naman masyadong chismosa, ate girl 'no?"

Kershia glared at Bianca to stop her, "Don't mind them, girl."

"Kairita eh." Bianca replied.

"She was just his past time." the girl retorted.

Bianca was about to defend Kershia from her  bitch classmates when their professor suddenly came in. After introducing himself to his students, he asked the class to introduce themselves then he gave them an assignment and he dismissed them half an hour early than their dismissal time.

"I'm craving for burger." Kershia said while they were walking, "Zarks, g?"

"G if it's your treat." Biance answered with a wide grin.

Kershia shook her head, "Fine, fine."

"Let's walk nalang ah, i'm too tamad to bring my car." Bianca added.

"Go." Kershia answered quickly, "You know how much I love walking along Katipunan."

"Because you're weird like that."

As the two were walking along Katipunan, they bumped into Von. And guess what? He's with another girl, he's with Ateneo's courtside reporter- Laura. Von glanced at Kershia but he immediately look away when Kershia looked at him.

"Spell awkward." Bianca teased her.

"Shut up, Bianca!" she retorted, "Pumasok na tayo."

While they were eating their burgers, Von and Laura suddenly came in, Kershia almost got choked when she saw them.
