Twentieth Shot

Von was never this happy in his entire life, he can't hide the curve that's been forming on his lips since the other day. He's pretty excited for the tour that he will be having with Kershia.

"Are you done packing your things?" Pam asked her son upon entering his room.
He smiled and nodded at his mother, "Yeah."
"Are you excited, Von?" She asked again.
"Of course!" Von answered in glee, "It's my first out of the country tour with Kershia. Ah that girl! She's making me sound like a highschool boy that gets kilig every time he sees his crush."
Pam laughed at her son's comment, "I can see in your eyes and actions that you really love her. And I love her, too."
Von hugged her mom, "Thanks, mom!"
Pam hugged him back and whispered, "Take good care of her and never ever let her go, she's one in a million, Von."
"I know, mom, and I promise you that I won't."

Von and Kershia still have a day to spend time with their friends before they leave for Cambodia. Von decided to text his best friend, Kiefer, and asked him to hangout with him and Kershia.

Seriously guys? Both you and Kershia just texted me now. Nauna ka lang ng 2 seconds hahaha! Text me the time and place. I'll bring Mika with me because it's Kershia's request 😁

Von shook his head while reading Kiefer's message, "That guy really notices every little things."
"Von." Their helper knocked on his bedroom's door, "Von, nanjan na si Kershia."
"Alright, tell her I'll go down in a bit." He answered, "Thanks!"

Von hurriedly went down to meet his girlfriend. Upon seeing her, he gave her a quick peck on her cheek and hugged her tight.

"How's your day, bubbah?" He asked her.
"Doing good." She answered, "How about your day?"
"It's wonderful now that you're here." Von replied then he smiled sweetly at her, "Let's go?"
"Where's Tita Pam and Tito Chandru?" Kershia inquired as she looks around the house, "I haven't greeted them yet tapos aalis na tayo."
"They just left." Von answered her inquiry, "So, can we go now? Baka mainip si Kiefer and Mika."
Kershia just shrugged, "Let's go!"

Von opened the door for Kershia then they headed to Kiefer's favorite place to chill at- Eastwood. While they were on the road, Von kept on glacing at Kershia.

"What?!" Kershia yelled at him.
He shook his head, "Nothing. I love you, Kersh."
Kershia's cheeks turned crimson red, "I love you more." then she kissed him on his cheek.
"Where do you want to work after our tour?" Von asked her while his eyes were still on the road.
She shrugged, "I honestly don't know, Von. I want to work in a Marketing company but I also want to do something not related in my field."
"Like what?" He asked curiously.
"Food industry? Hotel? Magazine?" Kershia sighed, "Ugh! It's so frustrating!"
Von reached for her hand and kissed it, "Stop thinking about it muna. Enjoy summer first and after our vacation I'll help you decide."
Kershia smiled, "Thanks."

Kershia is really thankful to have Von. She always feels that she is safe with him, he makes her stop overthinking things and make her feel calm. Almost everything that she is looking for a guy, she found it with Von. And there's no way that she will let him go.

Kershia's imagining her future with Von, carrying his child and her being the best wife she could to him when Von suddenly nudged her and that brings her back to her senses.

"Are you okay?" Von asked her worriedly.
"Yeah." she answered, "I was just thinking..."
"Thinking of what?" he asked again.
She shook his head, "Nothing. Let's go. I'm sure they're already waiting for us."
"What is it?" Von asked again, he did not move from his seat.
Kershia heaved out a deep sigh, "Fine! I was imagining our future then you suddenly nudged me. Now, will you please take off that frown on your beautiful face? I answered already answered your question."
Von gave her his sweetest smile, "Marry me then. So you won't have to imagine those things."
Kershia held his hand and looked straight in his eyes, "Give me some more time, Von. But I assure you that I will marry you in time. I want to think first."
Von gently squeezed her hand, "I'll wait. I love you."
"I love you, too."
