Tenth Shot

Final four is fast approaching, the team's having a hard training for them to be ready and because of this Von's having a hard time juggling school, basketball and his lovelife.

While Von and the team were on a break in their training, he decided to send a message to Kershia.

To: Kershia Marquez

Hi Princess! I'm sorry I can't be with you these past few days and I can't accompany you with your therapy. I promise to make it up to you after the season. *sigh* I badly miss you, princess. I want to see you right now, I am so stressed :(

After sending his message, Von heaved out a long and deep sigh then he kept his phone in his bag.

"Ang lalalim nun ah!" Kiefer noticed.

"I miss her so much." Von answered without looking at his best friend.

"This the life that we choose, bro." Kiefer replied, "Di ka pa sanay? Konting tiis nalang matatapos na rin yung season."

Coach Bo blew his whistle, "Get back to training, boys!"

Meanwhile, Kershia was in the middle of her study session with Janine and Mikko when she received Von's text message.

"Why?" Janine asked her worriedly, she saw Kershia frowned while reading a message on her phone.

"It's Von." Kershia replied, "He was sorry kasi di daw niya ako nasasamahan sa therapy. And he's so stressed daw."

Janine smiled while shaking her head, "That guy really loves you. Alam mo ba, we were together nga pero ikaw naman lagi kinukwento. As in the whole time that we were together, kaya sobrang nagalit ako sa nun eh, kasi feeling ko inaagaw mo yung best friend ko sa'kin tapos lagi pa kayong magkasama."

Kershia laughed out loud, "We were always together because he was asking for my help! Nagpapatulong yun sa'kin para sa mga surprises niya sa'yo."

"Can you guys please stop talking about, Von? I'm here kaya, nasasaktan ako 'no." Mikko joked, "Nagaway pa kayo dahil sakanya."

"At nagaway sila ni Von dahil sa'yo." Kershia defended Von.

"Mikko, gusto ko sabihin lahat ng bagay kay Kershia ngayon para wala ng issue between the three of us. I mean, Von, Kershia and I." Janine said, "Everything I will tell her doesn't necessarily mean ayun parin ang nararamdaman ko ngayon, okay?"

Mikko nodded at her, "Okay. Go."

"Kershia, you are my best friend since God knows and you know how much I like Von. Yes, I was really happy when he confessed that he likes me. I felt like I was in cloud nine. I bet you don't know the reason why I didn't push through that "relationship" with Von." Janine started, "Well simply because I noticed that he's happier when he's with you. Ayoko naman nung nasa'kin nga iba naman yung nasa isip at puso. I can feel it, Kershia. He really loves you even before. He was confused with his feelings lang, but it has always been you, Kershia. Kaya sobrang nasaktan ako kasi sobrang gusto ko siya pero ikaw yung gusto niya. So I decided to give Mikko and I a try, and I didn't regret it. Mikko loves me so much, and I love him rin. It was easy for me to let him go because I know he'll be happy with you and you'll take good care of him. And look, hindi ako nagkamali ng desisyon. You guys are happy with each other."

"Hindi ko sinadya na magkagusto sakanya, Janine." Kershia answered, "Nagulat nalang ako, I woke up one day na gusto ko na siya. I let him go 'cause I know how much he loves you and how much you love him. Ngayon parang binabawi ko na siya sa'yo 'cause you took him for granted."
