Twelveth Shot

A day before the team leaves Manila.

Von woke up extra early than his usual waking up time today. He searched for his phone on the bedside table then he composed a message to the most special girl in his life right now.

To: Kershia Marquez

Good morning, Princess! I wish one day when I wake up the first thing that I would see is your beautiful face. Wake up now sleepyhead, I'll be there in an hour! See yah! ❤

Right after he sent his message, he gets off his bed and rushed to the bathroom to take a bath. It took him almost an hour to prepare himself. He wore his Blue Eagle never stops shirt then he paired it with a khaki shorts and an oreo splattered roshe.

"Hi mom!" Von greeted his mother in the living room, "Good morning!"

"Good morning, Von!" Pam greeted him back, "I have a good news."

"What is it?" Von asked her eagerly, "It has something to do with Kershia ba?"

Pam smiled and nodded at him, "Yes, your dad and I already found an eye donor. I informed Therese about this matter na and we're coordinating with her doctor. Her eye operation will be as soon as possible."

"Really?!" Von said in disbelief, "Thanks, mom! Does she know about this na?"

Pam shook her head, "Nope, please don't tell her. Let her mom do it."

"Alright. I'm happy for Kershia." Von answered, "Anyway mom, I have to leave now. I'll go to Kershia's house, I want to take her out before I leave for Iloilo."

"Okay. Take care, Von. And please tell Kershia I said hi."

"I will, bye mom!" then he gave her a quick peck on her cheek.

Von turned on the car's stereo as soon as he got in and he played Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. Yes, he listens to Ed Sheeran because it's Kershia's favorite.

"Good morning, Tita Therese!" Von greeted Kershia's mom as soon as he came in, "Where's Kershia po?"

"Hello, Von! Good morning! Kershia's in the kitchen," Therese answered, "She's baking cupcakes. You go to the kitchen nalang."

"Okay. Thanks, Tita!"

Von headed to the kitchen and he found Kershia busy mixing a batter. He gently walked towards her direction then he hugged her from behind.

"Good morning, my baker princess!"

Kershia was startled when she felt Von's arm in her waist, she slowly turned around to face him.

"What are you doing here?" she asked while smiling at him.

"I want to spend time with you before I leave tomorrow." Von answered while cupping her face, "I texted you ah, di mo nabasa?"

She shook her head, "Nope, I left my phone in my room eh. What time did you text me?"

Von checked the time on his wristwatch, "An hour and a half ago, I think."

"Nandito na ko nun, more than 2 hours na ako dito eh." Kershia replied, "I baked some cupcakes for you and the boys, I'll surprise you sana. Ako nanaman yung na-surprise." then she pinched his cheeks.

"Aren't you finish yet?" he asked again, "I have plans for us today."

"Give me one more hour to finish these cupcakes."

"Alright, I'll watch you bake nalang."

Von took out his phone while watching her bake then he took a snapshot of her and he shared it on his instagram account.
