Nate wipes the steam off from the mirror. He looks at himself after shaving; black hair, brown eyes, and a cut on the side of his head. He was a very built and muscular man, trying to stay as healthy as possible.

Nate is known to be the nicest man in Sanctuary Hills, a neighborhood he lives in, with his wife Nora and his infant son Shaun. Most of the people living there respects and adores him. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Sino-American War in the 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry Regiment before the year 2077, he left the war, scarred from the horrors of death and destruction.

Ever since learning about the war between the European Commonwealth and the Middle East because of the shortage of oil, he has been against entering unjustifiable wars that could risk not only losing the war itself, but many lives for the upcoming generations.

As the liberation of Anchorage is coming to a close, tensions rose highly for the use of nuclear weapons. Armageddon is coming very soon. Nate stares at himself in the mirror and sighs.

"War never changes," he says.

"You're gonna knock 'em dead at the Veteran's Hall tonight, hon," said his wife Nora, as she comes into the bathroom with him.

"You think?" asked Nate.

"Absolutely," she smiled. "Now get ready and stop hogging the mirror."

"Right," he chuckled. Nate cleans his face off with a towel. He then grabs a hair comb and combs his hair nicely. He could see his Mister Handy robot, Codsworth, pass by from the mirror. Nate finishes and leaves the bathroom into the living room and kitchen. There he sees his hovering robot holding the coffee pot with its robotic claw.

"Ah, good morning, sir!" said Codsworth, with a happy British accent. "Your coffee! 173.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Brewed to perfection! And today's newspaper, just arrived!"

"Thanks Codsworth," smiled Nate. He takes the coffee pot from his trusty robot butler.

"You're welcome, sir!" he said. Nate pours himself a cup of coffee in his mug. He adds a pinch of sugar and some creamer into it. He stirs it perfectly and takes a sip. Just how he likes it. He takes the newspaper and reads the headlines.

"Hm, more of the same."

Nate sets the paper down and sits down on the couch. He turns the TV on, showing a commercial called "Jimmy and the Fatman". Probably another enlistment infomercial. The commercial changes back to the news.

Before watching, he could hear crying from the other room; Shaun. As Nate stood up, Codsworth heads over into the room.

"Ah, sounds like someone made a stinky!" the robot said. "I shall attend to young Shaun." Nate sits back down on the couch and continues watching the news.

"Looking in on next week's forecast, we have a high of 52 on Monday," said the news host. "It will also appear our troops stationed overseas are experiencing some unusual weather, as well. On the Island of Mambajao the nights are cold. Unseasonably so for Southeast Asia. But for the 5th Infantry, that's as comfortable as an Autumn jamboree. All the easier for our mechanized hellcats to drive any screaming Commie meamies right into the Bohol Sea."

Nate hears the doorbell ring. Nora looks over at the door and sighs.

"Can you get that?" she asked. "It's probably that salesman. He comes for you every day."

Nate stands up and walks over to the door. He answers it, facing the salesman. He wore a yellow overcoat and a a yellow fedora. Reminds Nate of the man with the yellow hat from Curious George, one of his favorite childhood books. The salesman holds a clipboard with him.
